Today’s reading takes us to 2 Kings 6:8–23, where Elisha shows us what prayer looks like when you truly know God. The enemy surrounds the city, the servant sees the threat, and fear takes over—but Elisha sees something different. He knows God’s presence and resources are greater than anything the enemy can bring.

2 Kings 6 reminds us that the answer is not always for God to show up—sometimes He is already there, and what we need is for our eyes to be opened. Elisha does not pray for God to come; he prays for his servant to see. And when his eyes are opened, he discovers the enemy is already surrounded. So today, read 2 Kings 6:8–23 and pray this: Lord, open my eyes to see what You are already doing.

Today’s reading takes us to Exodus 33:12–23, where Moses shows us what it looks like to pray for more of God Himself. He grounds his prayer in what God has already said, asks to know His ways, and refuses to move forward without His presence. Moses understands that what makes God’s people distinct is not merely where they are going, but Who goes with them.

Exodus 33 reminds us that the deepest prayer is not simply, “God, fix my circumstances,” but “God, show me Your glory.” Even after Israel’s rebellion, God reveals Himself as gracious and allows Moses to experience His goodness and presence. So today, read Exodus 33:12–23 and pray boldly: Lord, teach me Your ways, do not let me move without Your presence, and show me as much of Your glory as You are willing to reveal.

Before the extraordinary miracles came sustained instruction in the Word, and when genuine transformation came, costly obedience followed. People burned what once held value because Jesus had become more valuable. So today, read Acts 19 and remember: a church hungry for spiritual power must remain hungry for biblical truth. Knowing Jesus changes what you believe, what you value, what you worship, and ultimately everything about your life.
