Starting this Sunday, the Netherlands launches a new hotline exclusively for mosques to report attacks and threats—graffiti, vandalism, intimidation, and more. Designed by CMO, this national reporting center aims to fix past gaps where reports went unheard. With anti-Muslim discrimination often unreported, police confirm only a tiny fraction of discrimination cases involve mosques. While supportive, police urge direct reporting too to ensure full visibility and effective action. Recent incidents, like the Rotterdam mosque’s vandalized mosaic and thrown beer bottles, highlight the urgency. This system could finally bring attention and response to these critical issues.
