Being in reality TV relationships doesn't give you the emotional intelligence to deal with serious relationships. Plus, what constitutes a serious relationship in terms of duration?  For a young person in their early thirties it's considered a red flag not having been in more than 3 relationships that lasted 6 months or more.  There are cultural changes in the new generations regarding dating and relationships.  This new generation doesn't get into a lot of serious relationships like the older generations did - it seems they hop around less intimate relationships that don't last too long.
