Summary

The HexereiVerse is back on Nerding with Friends, and this time, Rawlee brought a friend!

We’re joined by voice actor Tanna Leigh, the voice of Moah, to talk about her journey into voice acting, joining the HexereiVerse, and the process of bringing her character to life. Rawlee also returns to catch us up on everything that’s been happening since his last appearance, including Witches of Eden’s Garden #3, new animated trailers, original music, and the continued expansion of the HexereiVerse.

We dive into what it takes to build an independent comic universe beyond the page, from collaborating with voice actors and developing characters to animation, cinematic trailers, and creating an original soundtrack that gives the world its own identity.

Then, of course, we have to nerd out! We share our thoughts on the latest Avatar: The Last Airbender projects, including the new movie and Seven Havens, debate our favorite characters and bending styles, and talk about what we want to see from the future of the Avatar universe.

If you’re into indie comics, voice acting, animation, worldbuilding, Avatar: The Last Airbender, or creators building their own universes from the ground up, this episode is for you.

Summary

Last week, we had Dennis Knight, a comic book writer and mentor with over a decade of experience, join us on the show. He shared his journey in the comic book industry, discussed the importance of independent comics, and explored the future of superhero movies and characters.

Dennis also shared insights on comic book creation, representation, industry challenges, and upcoming projects, emphasizing the importance of authentic storytelling and supporting independent creators.

Sadly, Dennis passed away on August 18th, just three days after recording. He wasn't just a writer but also a teacher, always willing to share advice and knowledge with up-and-coming comic book creators.

Dennis will be deeply missed. Our prayers are with his friends, family, fans, and the many lives he impacted.

Below are links to his GoFundMe, social accounts, and an upcoming convention he was slated to appear at.
