In Parashat Noach, the Torah confronts us with the problem of the human heart. This reflection considers how we can learn to guard and direct our hearts, paying attention to what we allow to shape our thoughts, desires, and inner life.

HaShem created the world by giving everything its proper place and purpose. In Parashat B’reisheet, Kayin is warned that sin is crouching at the door and that he must rule over it. This reflection considers what happens when anger, resentment, or unhealthy desire begins to take hold within us, and how HaShem helps us bring our inner lives under His rule.

What does Shemini Atzeret teach us about HaShem's presence in our lives? From the dedication of Solomon's Temple to the coming of Yeshua, Scripture reveals God's desire to dwell among His people. As the festivals draw to a close, we reflect on His everlasting faithfulness to Israel, the promise of restoration through Messiah, and Yeshua's assurance that the Father will make His home with those who love Him.
