  • Why We Created Sacred Moon Farm
    2026/04/08

On a late March Friday morning, Greg & Heidi reflect on an electric violin concert at Brightside where the artist encouraged creatives to ignore self-doubt, which leads into explaining Sacred Moon Farm. They describe living on Heidi's grandfather’s former dairy farm and deciding, after moving back during a second marriage, to intentionally use the property (pond, barn, garage/holistic multipurpose space, yurt tents, and fire pit) to host inclusive community gatherings. Sacred Moon Farm was named after a friend, Susie, suggested it during a moonlit night by the fire. The farm offers yoga, sound baths, drumming, cacao ceremonies, women’s circles, craft workshops, farm-to-table dinners, retreats, and nature-based resting, aiming to provide safe, non-denominational space for connection, creativity, and support through transitions and loneliness. They invite listeners to find Sacred Moon Farm on Facebook and nakednaps.net.

  • Breathe, Love, Naked Nap, and Repeat: Re-Centering Through Crisis and Deepening
    2026/04/08

Heidi and Greg record from their farm’s Cathouse Boutique on a chilly spring morning, reflecting on renewal and the purpose of their Naked Naps podcast/book as a final chapter idea titled “breathe, love, naked, nap, and repeat.” They describe Naked Naps as a practice of returning to the relationship’s center—through presence, conversation, affection, intimacy, walks, or therapy—especially when life stressors (children, work, grief, money conflicts, value clashes, perimenopause, empty nest, and major life events) push couples into autopilot or survival mode. They discuss how deeper marital years reveal entrenched values and triggers, making reconnection hard, and emphasize intention, communication, voice, empathy, and giving space while still reassuring love and commitment. They note both crises and boredom can create distance and encourage ongoing effort to stay aligned.

  • Martyr or Model: Mental Health in Families Ep. 18
    2024/03/15

Greg & Heidi talk about mental health. They aren't strangers to the challenges - from their own struggles, to their teens, adult children, and their parents - mental health challenges like depression, anxiety, and dementia can take their toll. But sometimes the most healing comes when we work WITH mental health diagnoses instead of wish they weren't there. No pill can solve everything. And we can't save our kids from suffering. So what's the 'happy' medium?

The vulnerability and tenderness in saying good-bye reminded Greg and Heidi of the importance of honoring those nearing the end of life, and honoring their own personal journeys.

  • We hear you ’Harry & Meghan’
    2022/12/17

Reviews of the Harry & Meghan documentary are varied, with many saying it's a "whine-fest" that is repetitive and annoying. Greg & Heidi take a different view, boiling it down to one couple's journey dealing with the challenges of integrating families (royal or not) and their values - not to mention the inevitable power struggles that arise when 'new blood' enters the scene. Looking beyond the frame of media and royalty, Greg and Heidi chat about the themes the documentary also highlights - a new family trying to find their place.

  • Grief: Sharing the personal process of letting go
    2022/10/15

Greg and Heidi dive into their own experiences (and 'symptoms') of grief. From the grief of empty nesting to grief of letting an old version of ourselves die. Grief is universal, yet deeply personal. Can we allow ourselves to experience this alchemizing process without getting stuck? Can we give ourselves space and grace to weep, to throw tantrums, to share our pain? Grief and suffering have a divine purpose. If we can be patient with ourselves and the process of letting go, new lives open to us. That is, if we aren't too scared to turn the corner.
