  • Salt That’s Lost Its Savor Is Good for Nothing
    2026/10/14

Are you still making a difference for Jesus Christ, or has your spiritual salt lost its savor? In “Salt That’s Lost Its Savor Is Good for Nothing,” Elder Roger Best delivers a heartfelt, old-fashioned Baptist sermon from Matthew 5:13-16 about being the salt of the earth, letting your light shine, spiritual renewal, Christian living, and reaching lost souls with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Jesus said, “Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted?” This powerful Bible message challenges Christians to examine their relationship with God, renew their commitment to serving Him, and remember their responsibility to share the good news of salvation.

Elder Roger uses the traditional practice of preserving meat with salt to explain the importance of maintaining a faithful Christian witness. Just as salt preserves, believers are called to spread God’s Word, share His love, and continually reach out to those who need Jesus. Sharing the Gospel requires persistence, prayer, faithfulness, and a genuine burden for lost souls.

A central theme of this sermon is the danger of losing spiritual zeal, drifting away from church, becoming spiritually cold, and neglecting God’s calling. Elder Roger shares his personal testimony of spending eleven and a half years away from the work God called him to do. During a revival service, the Lord dealt with his heart and restored his desire to preach, pray, worship, and serve Him.

His testimony reminds Christians that God is still merciful, God still restores, and God is still in the saving business! Those who have drifted away from God are encouraged to repent, return to Him, and renew their commitment to His work.

The sermon also emphasizes Christian unity, church fellowship, evangelism, and soul winning. Elder Roger encourages churches to look beyond denominational differences and work together to reach their communities with the Gospel. The mission of the church is to tell others about Jesus Christ and the importance of being born again.

Drawing from Matthew 5:14-16, Elder Roger reminds believers that Jesus called His followers “the light of the world.”A city set on a hill cannot be hidden, and a candle should not be placed under a bushel. Christians should let their light shine through their testimony, actions, words, and faithful service so others can see God’s love in their lives.

Good works cannot earn salvation, but those who have been saved by Jesus Christ should demonstrate their faith through Christian living and obedience to God’s Word.

Another important theme is the power of prayer and never giving up on lost family members, friends, and neighbors. Elder Roger encourages believers to keep praying for salvation, even when answers do not come immediately. God hears the prayers of His children, and Christians must remain faithful.

This message also challenges the church to return to old-fashioned prayer, humility, repentance, and the altar. The altar is not only for lost sinners seeking salvation. It is also a place for Christians to seek spiritual renewal, thank God for His blessings, and pray for others.

Pride, fear of judgment, and concern about what others think should never prevent believers from responding to God’s Spirit.

Through personal testimony and biblical preaching, Elder Roger reminds us that being born again, washed in the blood of Jesus Christ, and living faithfully for God are what truly matter.

If you have grown spiritually weary, lost your desire to attend church, stopped praying, or drifted away from serving God, this sermon encourages you to pick up your spiritual salt again, rekindle your love for Jesus, and let your light shine!

God is still saving souls, restoring lives, answering prayers, and calling His people to faithful service.

If this Christian sermon encourages your heart, share it with someone who needs renewed faith, spiritual encouragement, or a reminder to return to God.

  • Where’s the Hallelujah?
    2026/10/11

Where has the church’s joy gone? In “Where’s the Hallelujah?”, Pastor Tommy Boring delivers a powerful Christian sermon from 1 Peter 1:3-8 about salvation, praise, worship, spiritual joy, God’s mercy, and the living hope believers have through Jesus Christ.

This message challenges Christians to examine their hearts and remember why they have a reason to rejoice. Worldly distractions, trials, discouragement, and spiritual battles can steal our joy, but the Bible calls believers to rejoice in the Lord. Through the resurrection of Jesus Christ, those who are born again receive a living hope, an eternal inheritance, and the assurance that they are kept by the power of God.

Pastor Tommy explains that Christian joy is more than temporary happiness. It comes from knowing Jesus Christ as Savior, receiving forgiveness, experiencing God’s grace, and trusting His promises. Salvation changes the heart and gives believers a reason to praise God, even during difficult seasons.

The sermon also focuses on the incorruptible inheritance reserved in heaven for God’s children. Earthly possessions fade, but the promises of God are eternal. Believers can rejoice because their hope is not based on personal strength or worldly success, but on the finished work of Jesus Christ and the faithfulness of God.

Using 1 Peter 1:6-7, Pastor Tommy teaches that trials of faith can strengthen Christians and draw them closer to the Lord. The examples of Daniel in the lions’ den and Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego in the fiery furnace remind us that God may not always remove the trial, but He remains present and faithful through it. The same God who is with us on the mountaintop is with us in the valley.

From 1 Peter 1:8, this sermon highlights the joy unspeakable and full of glory that comes through faith in Jesus Christ. Pastor Tommy encourages the church to return to heartfelt worship, genuine praise, spiritual excitement, gratitude, and a renewed love for God. Christians should not allow the world to silence their worship or cause them to forget what the Lord has done.

This Bible sermon is a message about Christian encouragement, born-again salvation, eternal life, heaven, assurance of faith, God’s abundant mercy, the power of praise, and rejoicing through trials. If you have lost your joy or grown weary in your Christian walk, this message is a reminder that you still have something to praise God about.

    Main Scripture: 1 Peter 1:3-8

  • It Is Finished
    2026/09/30

“IT IS FINISHED.” Those three words from Jesus on the cross point to the completed work of salvation, the sacrifice at Calvary, and the hope believers have through Jesus Christ. In this powerful sermon, Reverend Danny Buchanan, Sr. preaches from John 19 about the suffering, crucifixion, death, resurrection, salvation, and second coming of Jesus Christ.

In “It Is Finished,” Reverend Danny Buchanan, Sr. reflects on Christ’s journey to Calvary and the incredible price Jesus paid for the sins of humanity. From the crown of thorns and the mocking of Jesus to His scourging, crucifixion, thirst, and final declaration, the message focuses on the love, mercy, grace, and sacrifice of the Savior. Jesus was innocent, yet He willingly suffered and died so that sinners could have a way to salvation.

The sermon explores the meaning behind Jesus saying, “It is finished.” Christ completed the work that no one else could accomplish. His sacrifice was once for all, and His blood paid a debt that humanity could never pay. Reverend Danny emphasizes that salvation cannot be purchased with money or earned through human effort. Salvation is a gift of God through faith and grace.

This message also points listeners to the old rugged cross, Calvary, the resurrection, the empty tomb, and the return of Jesus Christ. Scripture references include John 19, Matthew 27, Hebrews 9, Romans 8, John 14, Romans 10, Ephesians 2, Psalm 3, 1 Corinthians 10, Titus 2, Hebrews 10, and 1 Thessalonians 4.

Reverend Danny shares personal testimony throughout the sermon, including his own salvation experience, his calling to preach, God’s faithfulness through difficult seasons, and the importance of remaining close to God. He speaks about the brevity of life, the need to be born again, the power of prayer, faith like a mustard seed, God’s grace, and the assurance that nothing is too hard for God.

A major focus of the message is salvation and readiness for the coming of the Lord. Reverend Danny urges listeners not to put off getting right with God. Life is short, death can come unexpectedly, and the Bible calls believers to watch, pray, and remain faithful. He speaks of the Second Coming of Jesus, the resurrection of the dead in Christ, the catching away of the Church, and the blessed hope of being with the Lord.

The sermon ultimately brings everything back to Calvary. Without the cross, there would be no hope of salvation. Because Jesus died, rose again, and completed the work, believers have hope for eternity and a future beyond this present world. Reverend Danny encourages the church to get close to God, return to the old paths, stay faithful to God’s Word, pray for lost family members and friends, and be ready to meet the Lord.

If you are searching for a Christian sermon about Jesus Christ, the cross, Calvary, salvation, the crucifixion, the resurrection, grace, faith, the blood of Jesus, being born again, and the Second Coming, this message is centered on the finished work of Christ and the call to prepare your heart for eternity.

Are you ready? The message closes with a call to get back in the fold, draw closer to God, obey the Spirit of God, and make sure your heart is ready.
