  • The Witches & Wizards of Winchcombe - Episode 29
    2025/03/28

This episode is called the Witches & Wizards of Winchcombe and the experiences I will share with you, come from the book 'Weird and Wicked in Winchcombe' by Anne Crow, which can be purchased from *The Winchcombe Museum.

Winchcombe is a pretty Cotswold town in Gloucestershire and has a rich history, it has connections to Anglo-Saxon royalty, the rise and fall of the wool trade, and the dissolution of the Abbey all paint a picture of a town that has seen both prosperity and hardship. Today, it's a charming destination with a strong sense of heritage.’

This Cotswold town is steeped in stories of magic and mystery. Hundreds of years ago, Winchcombe was home to witches and wizards-cunning folk who were called upon for healing, protection, and magic.

Haunted Pubs & Inns- Episode 28

The spooky experiences that I will share from you, come from the books, UK Haunted Hospitality, Volumes 1 and 2 by Dr Paul Lee. Dr Paul Lee kindly shared these experiences from these books with me for this podcast episode, so I highly recommend checking out his books here on Amazon –

Pubs and inns in the UK have their roots from when the Romans first introduced the selling wine and food to soldiers and travellers. So with hundreds of years of pubs and inns being frequented, some used as places for inquests into crimes, such as murder, then it’s no surprise that many of these establishments are said to be haunted.

  • The Ghosts of Nether Lypiatt Manor- Episode 27
    2025/01/24

Do houses and objects possess the ability to replay events from the past? And do those whose lives were prematurely ended, play out their revenge in present day life? Humanity has always weaved stories from the threads of history, especially for those who happened upon harsh treatments from others. These stories may help us learn from past happenings and make us think about how we would respond in similar circumstances.

Are ghosts seeking revenge a thing of reality or are they a way of giving the victim some sort of justice? I’ll leave that for you to decide.

  • Church Hauntings at Christmas Time- Episode 26
    2024/12/20

Christmas happens in the dark month of December and with daylight hours being few, the darkness is illuminated with Christmas lights to bring about a sense of comfort and celebration. In those dark corners, where the lights can’t reach, it’s easy to think that ghost’s dwell there, so it’s no surprise that many ghostly spectres are seen around Christmastide.

For this Christmas episode, I’ll share 2 of those spooky Yuletide experiences. These all come from the book Ghosts at Christmas by Darren W Ritson, which I highly recommend getting yourself a copy.

  • Gloucestershire's Ghost House- Episode 25
    2024/11/29

This episode is called Gloucestershire’s Ghost House, and it was a piece I researched and wrote for the website Spooky Isles.

There are areas in the county of Gloucestershire that are quite beautiful; some wooded, some open landscapes, mined quarries, lots of sweeping hills and meandering waterways, all which have played their part in how the county has evolved.

Part of that landscape are the ghosts that haunt the areas and the houses of those who have made Gloucestershire their home.

Do those, who once lived here, come back from the dead and haunt the areas that they loved so much?

  • Episode 23- The Somerset Ghost
    2024/09/27

    The Somerset Ghost

I take a look at how this photograph came about. It includes 2 well known supernatural investigators and authors of the time, Elliot O’Donnell and Sir Arthur Conan Doyle.

The back story is about one particular young man, who, it seems, wanted interactions with Elliot O’Donnell and went ahead and faked the Somerset Ghost photo in order to do that. But it wasn’t until many years later when Sir Arthur Conan Doyle was to include the photo as a genuine ghost photo in one of his talks, that the man took responsibility for the faked photo……
