The Extinction of the Ad Agency

The New York Times has declared the ad agency is rapidly disappearing as a business model. Replaced by influencers with a video cam and no degree.

I have a long fabulous, hilarious, scary, awful, amazing history with ad agencies, both as write/producer and performer.

Sad to say goodbye to Madison Avenue. It was sweet while it lasted.

    MARCH MADNESS

March for most of us is much more than NCAA activities. And THIS one in particular.

Madness is rampant, especially in DC. Have you noticed?

5 years ago, March became famous for The Lockdown. Within one month, more than half the world’s population was under some sort of lockdown.

It’s time to take stock: that time to this.

My State is Cooler than Your State

New Mexico is still the wild, wild west. While the loonies in DC keep changing the rules, my landscape is eternal. Mountain ranges, dormant volcanos, hummingbirds, road runners and plenty of wily coyote.

New Mexico is known for woo woo and Meow Wolf. We are the official Land of Enchantment.. We probably have more therapists and artists per square foot than San Francisco.

Consider us. We have always been a sanctuary state. If you can find us, BIENVENIDOS!

Call Me By My Name, Mr. Trump

Map makers are scrambling to change the Gulf of Mexico to the Gulf of America.

Trump seems frantic to grab and rename. Esteemed MSNBC broadcaster Laurence O'Donnell fears that he has his sights locked on the state sandwiched between Arizona and Texas. States friendlier to him than true blue New Mexico.

That's MY state, my home for the past 17 years and there are a few things you need to know. We're a sanctuary state and our next governor will most likely be the first ever female Native American former Sec'y of the Interior Deb Haaland, from the Laguna Pueblo.

It feels like it's all Looney Tunes out there now. New Mexico has land, lots of land under starry skies above. Plenty of room for you.

    Go Directly to Jail

Trump has given Get Out of Jail Free cards to over 1500 felons from the Jan. 6th debacle. Not everyone wanted to leave prison.

Japan has an elderly population crisis where thousands upon thousands of elderly have no support. They have taken to committing crimes such as shoplifting and selling drugs, to get themselves incarcerated. Guaranteeing medical care, meals, activities and companionship.

With the escalating costs of living in Albuquerque as a single old gal, I wonder what crimes could I commit to get fours years of three hots and a cot.

S3:1-51 I Never Saw it Coming

Few of us survived last year unscathed. I have PTSD from the election results AND I got caught up in a hybrid scam I knew nothing about. I never saw it coming. The celebrity romance scam.

You’ll see the red flags faster than I did.

    Santa owes me big time!

    The Uses of Inanity

No matter what I did on Wednesday, it didn’t change the outcome of the Presidential Election.

I did the only things I could think of. Distract myself. There’s no consolation in “wait another four years.” By then who knows what will have happened to my memory.

    Having Our Say

On Tuesday, the nation will vote to elect our 47th President. I have never missed an election. I realize that I vote every day.

    You do too.
