Jack Mercer was driving through Bellwether with Marcus Mercer’s glucose meter beside him when three amber lights stopped above the municipal water tower. They pulsed together three times, his radio dissolved into hiss, his phone display broke into bands, and the tower beacon went dark.
Minutes later, Jack’s younger sister Keira Mercer called from the Northgate Pharmacy parking lot. Before Jack described anything, Keira reported three amber lights pulsing in the same pattern. Then Evelyn Mercer called from Briar Glen, where she and Marcus had seen the lights approaching their home.
From three separate locations, the Mercer family watched what appeared to be the same unidentified flying object moving across town. Their recordings matched in timing and direction, but each showed a different shape. When Jack’s van died near a drainage channel and a damaged voicemail made him believe Marcus had collapsed, he had to reach his parents on foot.
