"She's a very confident dog. She doesn't back down."

In this episode, Kellin joins us to talk about Maybe, a Shepit Retriever (1/2 German Shepherd, 1/4 Golden Retriever, 1/8 pit bull, 1/8 ???) rescued from a shelter in eastern Washington. We get into her multi-month naming journey, her new life as a mountain biking partner, and the types of dogs she gets along best with.

"He's a pillow princess for sure."

Meet Reggie, a six-year-old Labradoodle from South Burlington, Vermont. He's an anxious, deeply people-loving goofball who greets every stranger like they showed up just for him, "fetches" by nudging his own ball off the lounger and chasing it, and has a bark so low you'd never guess what his internal voice actually sounds like. Reggie's mom Sydnie talks about working with him on his reactivity, home haircuts (he's "a little too curly" to pull off a mohawk), his walkout song ("I'm Every Woman" by Chaka Khan), and why Reggie is a certified pillow princess.

"He's a very skeptical puppy."

Meet Heisenberg, a 13-pound Shih Tzu who decides who's worthy of his attention on his own terms. Approach him first and he'll give you a look, but wait him out and he'll eventually come find you! In this episode we chat about his San Antonio adoption story, his surprising confidence on elevators and flights, and the judgmental little voice his mom Melba imagines in his head.
