Extra Credit Reading: It's not mentioned here, as it hasn't yet been adapted, but the novel Longbourn by Jo Baker is great and sure to head to screens eventually. It follows a young servant in the Bennet household, living her life while the events of P&P occur in the background.

Extra Credit Watching: Keeley Hawes is excellent as Jane's sister Cassandra in the Miss Austen series. Becoming Jane and Miss Austen Regrets are also Jane-centered stories worth a watch. The Jane Austen Book Club explores Austen's stories influencing the modern women reading them.
