In this episode, we sit down with founder Paula Goins and legendary vocalist L. Young—the original architect of the very first Love Life movement two decades ago. From $5 open-mic jam sessions in LA to a luxury, semi-secret, world-class dinner series.
Based in Los Angeles but rooted in Louisville, KY, L. Young is an R&B recording artist known for pushing creative boundaries. He first caught the public’s attention in 2015 and 2016 with his groundbreaking harmony collage videos of unique covers where he harmonized with himself using a simple picture collage app.
This creative twist not only went mega viral on social media and was featured on ABCs Good Morning America but also inspired a generation of artists on TikTok and beyond, with its influence still resonating in 2025. L. also has a top 20 billboard charting record entitled Love Is A Verb and two #1 hit singles on the UK Soul charts under his belt to go along with 5 album releases. He’s had the honor of sharing the stage and studio with legends like Stevie Wonder, David Foster, Jon Mayer, Babyface, and Patti LaBelle, to name a few. Experiences that continue to fuel his artistic journey.
This is a full-circle moment. This is the last Love Life Night in Columbus before the tour expands to new cities.
