Hey there, here we go again. This is another great episode.
This time I turned into a podcast an old essay and theses proposal for my undergrad committee at Universidade Federal de Goias. The paper started through a thoroughly discussion about philosophy, music, cross-cultural ideas, sociologic/ethnomusicologic study of different music concepts, and music understanding. Straight to the standpoint of things like music teaching, methods and other ideas.
This was an attempt on explaining how and why music work the way it is, systematically, and lay down some fundamentals for a more sociologic/cultural approach to teach music for children and adults.
So sometimes it was an art education work and other times a "dialectical and historical materialism", or less sophisticated social history of music in a more phenomenological approach.
This work was conceived with the orientation of the doctor in art education prof. Dr. Fernanda P. Cunha. but never reached it full objectives for lack of scientific resources at the time.
Sit back and enjoy. Thanks for listening.
