Every human being has a deep instinct for justice, and that instinct points to something true about God. His standard is not the worst person we know but perfect holiness, and every sin carries a consequence that cannot simply be overlooked. God cannot pretend sin did not happen any more than a good judge can let a guilty person walk free without cause. Jesus, as both High Priest and sacrifice, shed His blood once for all, making complete payment for sin. His blood is sufficient for anyone who will receive it, no matter how far they have fallen. The question every person must answer is simple: whose blood is covering your sin? For those already trusting in Christ, a second question follows. What does the way you live communicate to the people around you about who He is?

Wisdom that comes from nearly ninety years of walking with Jesus can't be rushed or shortcut. Trusting God through devastating loss, praying without giving up, and living out faith in front of others are not just ideals but lived realities for those who have walked with Him the longest. More is caught than taught, and the way an older believer lives out their faith in front of others can shape generations. The older generation carries something the younger generation desperately needs, and spending time with faithful, seasoned believers is not charity. It is wisdom-gathering. Pray consistently, love your family well, and get your children into the Word of God early. And above all, trust Him. That is the whole of it.

Most Christians believe the Bible is God's Word, but there is a significant difference between believing that and actually expecting God to work through it in your life today.
