On Movie Pulse, Nura and Shasif dive into DC’s Supergirl (starring Milly Alcock) in a spoiler-packed debate. They unpack the film’s “Superman meets Star Wars” vibe, Kara’s disorienting introduction under a red sun, and how stripping away familiar Kryptonian power levels spotlights a messier, more human hero. The conversation explores grief, belonging, and why Kara resists calling Earth home, with Ruthye, Krem, and Krypto shaping a character-first journey. They also scrutinize the film’s lore hiccups—especially the Kara/Clark age timeline—and how Lobo subverts typical villain expectations. Finally, they wrestle with the climactic battle montage: emotionally motivated yet tonally jarring against the cosmic‑western texture the movie builds.

• Why Kara’s weakened intro works: red sun rules, power scaling, and a character-first arc.
• Kara vs. Clark: grief, home, and earning belonging on Earth through Ruthye’s mirror.
• Lobo as wildcard: bounty-hunter chaos over mastermind plotting fits the space-western tone.
• The Kara/Clark age timeline confusion, plus Krypto continuity and what the film communicates.
• The divisive battle montage: emotional logic vs. tonal whiplash—and how Milly Alcock holds it together.
