Caroline Turnbull, one of my private coaching clients, spent her first two years of Division I field hockey at Lafayette sick, injured, and convinced someone else needed to fix it. In this conversation, she walks me through the junior-year shift that turned her into a leader, the torn ACL that ended her senior season, and the years after, when a diet she believed in left her severely anemic while doctors kept telling her she was fine.
What struck me most is how many times Caroline thought she had learned the lesson of listening to her body, only to have to learn it again.
Today she's the co-founder of Mobius, a fitness community app with no leaderboards, no streaks, and no metrics on display, built on the belief that all movement counts. If you've ever trusted the numbers over what your body was telling you, this one is for you.
