In January 2022, Tanda Community Network (Tandanet), a Kibera-based community network that seeks to promote internet accessibility through provision of network infrastructure and capacity building for community, hosted a 10-day workshop on digital inclusion for grassroot women in Kibera.
33 women representatives from 7 feminist organizations in Kibera attended. They learnt internet basics, introduction to feminism and its history, feminist principles of the internet, safe spaces, and digital policy & institutional frameworks.
To wrap up the training, Tandanet produced a 4-part podcast series with some of the women and ladies who attended the workshop. Listen to the conversations below. The workshop was supported by CIPESA.
