Lindsay Clancy strangled her three children in Duxbury, Massachusetts, and has never disputed it. The only question at trial was whether postpartum psychosis erased her criminal responsibility for it. After six weeks of testimony, the jury deadlocked eleven to one. Eleven were ready to let her go. One would not. This episode is about that one man, and about a culture that has quietly decided some children are worth protecting and some are not.

Marc Little, a pastor, lawyer, and political commentator, breaks down what actually happened in the Lindsay Clancy mistrial, separates the prosecution's theory from what the jury actually decided, and introduces a word he believes the English language needed and didn't have: Mothicide. He tells the story of Michael Desronvil, the lone holdout juror who wouldn't move, what happened to his name and his family once the media found him, and what it says about this country that eleven jurors nearly excused her and one man alone would not.

From there, Marc widens the lens to Massachusetts itself: a new law removing the state's gestational limit on abortion, a school policy that lets educators withhold a child's gender identity from parents, and a state medical guidance letting minors bypass parental consent for gender-affirming care. Three different rooms, one pattern.

The episode also takes on Oprah Winfrey's podcast episode on the Clancy case, where a guest doctor asked listeners for sympathy based on Clancy's "melanin" and "privilege," and asks where the church's voice has been through all of it. Marc closes with a word for Patrick Clancy, the father in this story nobody is talking about, and a prayer for the children, for the holdout juror, and for a culture he believes has drifted further from the heart of God than it knows.

This episode is for anyone who has followed the Lindsay Clancy case, anyone wrestling with postpartum psychosis and criminal responsibility, and anyone willing to ask an uncomfortable question: whose side are you really on.
