Crofty and Peter revisit Motherwell's frustrating 2-2 draw with St Johnstone.

Having had time to analyse the game, they break down the defensive errors that cost the team two points, debate the impact of Alfred's substitutions, and assess whether Motherwell's growing confidence was undermined by a late shift to a defensive mindset.

The discussion also explores fan reactions, leadership issues at the back, player accountability, and whether the dressing-room fallout could become the catalyst for a long-awaited turnaround ahead of the crucial clash with St Mirren.

• Reassessing the late collapse against St Johnstone with a cooler head.
• Detailed analysis of both goals conceded and the defensive mistakes involved.
• Debate over whether defensive substitutions invited pressure back onto Motherwell.

Motherwell’s losing run stretched to six matches with a 2-0 defeat to Hearts, but this episode argues the result did not tell the full story.

While frustration is growing around Fir Park, Peter makes the case that Motherwell actually produced one of their better performances in recent weeks, creating chances, showing greater intensity and looking much closer to turning the corner than the league table suggests.

The discussion examines missed opportunities, defensive lapses, Stephen O'Donnell's difficult spell, Thor's chance to stake a claim, and whether calls for manager Alfred's head are wildly premature after just ten league games.

Meanwhile, Crofty joins the pod fresh from a nasty cycling accident and heavily medicated, providing a fitting metaphor for Motherwell's season so far.

Key Highlights

• Crofty reveals details of his bike crash, surgery and recovery, comparing his misfortune to Motherwell's season.
• Peter argues Motherwell were the better side for long periods against Hearts despite losing 2-0.
• Analysis of Hearts' opening goal and Motherwell's continued defensive concentration issues.
• Praise for Jordan McGee's midfield display and Kanga's impressive impact from the bench.
• Thor's missed opportunities spark debate over whether he's done enough to earn more starts.
• Discussion of Stephen O'Donnell's costly error and the difficult form he's enduring.
• Strong defence of Alfred's position as manager despite six consecutive defeats.
• Why supporters need patience, perspective and backing rather than panic.
• Tactical discussion around Seb's isolation up front and the lack of runners feeding off second balls.
• Optimism that victories against St Johnstone and St Mirren could quickly change the mood around the club
