  • Elton And Me | Salvadore Liberto

Salvadore Liberto returns ahead of Elton And Me, his night of Elton John classics and original songs at the Studio at the Allied Solutions Center for the Performing Arts in Carmel on Friday, September 25.

Sal plays his way through the conversation. He performs Skyline Pigeon and tells the story behind it — the song Elton John sang at Ryan White's funeral — and talks about how that friendship changed Elton's life. He explains how he sequences a show to earn an audience's trust, why hearing Elton's Live in Australia record as a teenager made him a musician in the first place, and what roughly 30,000 hours at the piano sounds like now. He also shares two originals, Now's the Time and Nothing Is Perfect, and closes with Daniel.

Along the way: the glasses, the shiny stage clothes, whether anyone can learn to sing, and the floating feeling he's had on stage maybe three times.
