As we begin our new SIT, WALK, STAND series through Ephesians, we're reminded that God didn't just save us—He raised us up and seated us with Christ in heavenly places. Before we can walk in purpose and stand against opposition, we have to learn how to rest in the finished work of Jesus.

Your identity isn't determined by your past, your circumstances, your failures, or what you can accomplish. In Christ, you are chosen, adopted, sealed by the Holy Spirit, and positioned in Him.

It's time to take a seat.

TAKE A WALK | Sit, Walk, Stand

We have been saved by grace, seated in Christ, and called to walk out what God has already placed within us.

In this message, we continue through Ephesians 2 and look at what it means to move from a place of rest into a life of faith, purpose, and obedience. God didn't save us simply to sit; He saved us so that we could walk worthy of our calling, follow the Holy Spirit, and allow the life of Christ in us to be seen through our everyday lives.

Just as Israel followed the presence of God through the wilderness, we are called to follow the leading of the Holy Spirit and remain connected to the place of peace and rest He has given us.

Following Jesus is more than making a decision; it is a lifelong journey of becoming more like Him.

There is a difference between producing fruit and producing foliage, and God is not interested in the leaves. In Matthew 21, Jesus cursed a fig tree that was full of leaves but had no fruit. Because fig trees produce their leaves and fruit at the same time, a leafy tree with no fruit was not just disappointing. It was deceptive. The same can be true of us when we maintain the appearance of spiritual health while our hearts are somewhere else entirely. God is calling us to genuine fruitfulness, not just the right exterior.
