  • Business Accelerator: The art of being remembered
    2026/09/17

Marketing is everywhere, but for brokers, being visible doesn't necessarily mean being memorable.

In this episode of Business Accelerator, Broker Daily's Julian Barnes is joined by broker coach and Broker Essentials founder Jason Back to unpack what effective marketing looks like for brokers and why chasing every new tactic, platform, or lead source can be a costly distraction.

They discuss paid advertising, thought leadership, word of mouth, buying leads, and the importance of knowing where your clients are and what matters to them.

Plus, why brokers should focus less on vanity metrics and more on building recognition, trust, and relationships.

  • Spotlight: AI, trust, and the future of broking
    2026/09/16

AI is becoming a fundamental part of the broking toolkit, but as technology takes on more of the process, questions around trust, accuracy, and human judgement are becoming harder to ignore.

How should brokers balance new technology with the trust at the heart of the profession?

Broker Daily's Julian Barnes sits down with Accurateli founders Ben Callaghan and Joel Wyld to explore where AI and technology platforms fit into mortgage broking and what they mean for the broker-customer relationship.

The conversation looks at data security, accuracy, and the role of broker judgement, as well as whether taking some of the processing out of broking could give brokers more time to focus on customers.

    What's covered:

    • Where AI can add value and where broker judgement still matters.
    • The trust, accuracy, and security questions around new technology.
    • Whether technology could make broking more relationship-driven.

Listen to the latest Broker Daily Spotlight to explore the changing relationship between technology and trust in broking.

  • Affordability hits home
    2026/09/15

Housing affordability has hit a new low, with research finding that a median-income household was able to afford just 12 per cent of homes sold across Australia in the financial year 2026.

Broker Daily's Julian Barnes is joined by Finni brokers Eva Loisance and Costa Arvanitopoulos to unpack what's happening in the housing market, from the latest clearance rates and shifting buyer and vendor expectations to the growing role of low-deposit schemes.

The trio also discuss Sydney's affordability divide, the changing Australian dream, and whether borrowers are increasingly being forced to choose between home ownership and lifestyle.

Plus, broker market share has reached a record 81.6 per cent, borrowers are switching lenders in huge numbers, and the prospect of another rate hike is back on the table.

So, with affordability getting tougher, where does the market go from here?
