The Mariners lost a true legend this week with the passing of Alan “Moose” Clausen at 88 — the beloved ambassador who shaped the team’s spirit for over three decades. Known for his warmth, deep connections, and unforgettable send-off in 2012 (complete with stars like Griffey Jr. and Martinez), Moose’s legacy lives on through the community he touched. Meanwhile, the Mariners’ future is bright with Boston Smith, their top catching prospect and No. 13 overall, heading to the Arizona Fall League — a versatile slugger with 31 homers and 84 RBIs last season, acquired in the Luis Castillo trade.
