In today's episode Jesus tells a weird story about a wedding banquet and unexpected guests and an invitation that keeps widening until some guy gets turfed out. Why? Great question! Let's turn the gem on this parable and ask what it means to actually receive an invitation - not just hear it, accept it, and show up, but to REALLY show up (party clothes and all) and allow the invitation to change us.

Something happens when we shift from stewarding something we have been given to thinking we own it. That need to possess, to protect, to defend MY thing: my work, my thing, my faith, my God... Today, we turn the gem on a parable Jesus told in Matthew 21:33-43 about a vineyard that the owner tenanted that we like to see as pointing the finger at someone else, and realise that not only is it much more gentle, but aimed directly at us.

Changing your mind does not have to be a sign of weakness.In Matthew 21:28–32, Jesus tells a simple story about two sons, and turns our ideas about obedience, goodness and belonging upside down. This episode explores what happens when we stop worrying about looking right and become willing to turn, grow and see differently. Because maybe God isn't looking for perfect people, but people who remain open to change and transformation.
