We start episode 4 with some Halloween chat and catch up on the spookiest thing of all, Love is Blind Boston. We share the couple(s) we're rooting for and who we're concerned about (basically everyone). Then we share our personal updates around weaning (Meghan) and potty training (Hannah) and why these things can feel so complicated. We get into our personal philosophies around Halloween candy as two registered dietitians & moms and how to navigate sweets with our toddlers in a way that allows them to explore, learn to self-regulate, and enjoy candy for what it is. We finish up with some rapid fire Halloween questions including what candy we're most likely to steal from our kids and what movies we're watching.

Potty Training Wins, Real Self-Care, and Our Random Favorites

We jump back in after some microphone issues and end up talking about how overwhelming it feels that everything is becoming AI, and how scary that is when we think about our kids’ future. From there we detour into Daniel Tiger songs and a big parenting win: Marley’s potty training is going surprisingly smoothly. Then we return to our deeper questionnaire, reflecting on who we are outside of motherhood, how work used to be our identity, and how we’re slowly reclaiming freedom and fun again. We also talk about unlearning diet culture in dietetics training, what self-care actually looks like on hard weeks (showers, routines, alone time), and wrap with random questions like scent profiles, coffee orders, childhood dream jobs, and comfort snacks like Annie’s mac and cheese and cereal.
