  • Episode 107: From Corporate Mom to Fitness Founder: Building Coastal Core Fitness & Bringing Lagree to the Jersey Shore
    2026/09/21
In this episode of Mom Boss Chronicles, we sit down with Liz Collins, the founder and owner of Coastal Core Fitness, the Lagree-inspired fitness studios with locations in Belmar, Asbury Park, and Colts Neck, New Jersey. Her journey started in Brooklyn, where she discovered Lagree Method training on the Megaformer and quickly fell in love with the challenging, low-impact workout. After having her first daughter, she began rethinking her corporate career and saw an opportunity to bring the workout she loved to the Jersey Shore. She took the leap and opened her first Coastal Core Fitness location in Belmar—and hasn't stopped since. Today, she's a mom of three daughters, a Monmouth County resident, and the owner of three thriving fitness studios. We talk about making the pivot from corporate life to entrepreneurship, opening and scaling multiple fitness studios, balancing business ownership with motherhood, and what makes Lagree training different from traditional Pilates. It's a conversation about trusting an idea, taking a calculated risk, and building a business—and a life—that evolves right alongside you.
