The Vikings pulled off a stunning fourth-quarter comeback, scoring 29 unanswered points to stun the Packers 39-22 — fueled by two crucial turnovers and a defense that rose to the occasion. But behind the scenes, the rookie class struggled to make an impact: Max Bredeson led with 24 snaps as a fullback, while defensive rookies combined for just 38 plays. Defensive coordinator Brian Flores explained they prioritized experience when the game was on the line, sidelining first-round picks Caleb Banks (16 snaps), Chuck Demmings, and Jake Golday entirely — despite heavy blitzing. Domonique Orange, however, shined with 22 snaps and a key fourth-down stop. Flores emphasized confidence in the rookies’ long-term potential, even if this game didn’t go their way.

The Minnesota Vikings’ QB future hangs in the balance as Kyler Murray’s concussion protocol looms — if he can’t practice by Wednesday, Carson Wentz returns to lead the offense. Wentz delivered a solid performance in his last start, throwing for 133 yards and 3 TDs, while Murray struggled before getting hurt (18 yards, 1 INT). Signed back after Wentz’s return this offseason, Murray remains the team’s long-term hope — but O’Connell must weigh immediate needs against future potential. Keep watching Murray’s status — his practice window could decide Sunday’s game.

Kyler Murray’s concussion in Week 1 sent shockwaves through the Vikings, but backup Carson Wentz seized the moment with a career-best performance—12-of-19, 133 yards, 3 TDs—turning a crisis into a quarterback showdown. If Wentz keeps playing like this, especially against the Bears, the Vikings may face an unexpected QB battle that could reshape their season.

Vikings head to Chicago for a high-stakes NFC North showdown against the Bears, both teams riding momentum from opening wins. With star QB Kyler Murray sidelined in concussion protocol, backup Carson Wentz could start — and he looked sharp in Week 1. The Bears, meanwhile, are firing on all cylinders offensively. History favors neither side, but last year’s nail-biter at Soldier Field hints at a gritty, back-and-forth battle. The Vikings’ chance to start 2-0 — and their playoff hopes — rest heavily on who’s under center. Don’t miss this one — kickoff at noon on FOX 9.

The Vikings stunned the NFL with a wild 39-22 comeback win over the Packers, fueled by Carson Wentz’s unexpected heroics—three touchdowns in a surprise start—and Justin Jefferson’s scorching performance, tying Randy Moss for second all-time in receptions. Kyler Murray’s concussion puts his Week 2 status in doubt, while Brian Flores’ defense delivered key late-game pressure and turnovers. Yet, despite the victory, Minnesota was outgained by 180 yards, exposing offensive vulnerabilities. Now, they face a brutal test against Caleb Williams and the high-powered Bears in Chicago—this matchup will reveal if their chaotic Week 1 win can evolve into sustainable success.

The Vikings are aggressively shopping their running back depth, working out Jerome Ford, Ulysses Bentley, and Kenny McIntosh—despite already carrying Aaron Jones, Jordan Mason, and a rookie—hinting at a roster shakeup or insurance plan. Ford, a former fifth-rounder with over 2K yards from scrimmage, remains a key focus, while McIntosh’s special teams value and Bentley’s roster experience add intrigue. They also brought in rookie safety Maceo Beard, a wildcard who briefly retired before returning to the UFL, showing they’re casting a wide net—especially at RB. No signings yet, but the workouts signal serious evaluation ahead.

The Vikings stunned the NFL with a 39-22 demolition of the Packers, proving they’re ready to compete. Despite losing their starting QB early, the backup led a high-octane offense that thrived under halftime adjustments—shifting to a run-heavy, play-action attack. The defense was equally dominant, applying relentless pressure on Jordan Love and forcing turnovers in the fourth quarter. And Justin Jefferson? He reminded everyone why he’s elite: eight catches, 92 yards, two TDs. This wasn’t just a win—it was a statement.

The Vikings pulled off a gritty 39-22 win over the Packers, but don’t be fooled—their early performance was shaky. Momentum shifted late thanks to clutch defense and a big return, but key players like Eric Wilson, Byron Murphy Jr., and Will Fries delivered underwhelming performances that raised serious questions. With high-priced talent struggling and the secondary out of sync, the team’s playoff hopes hinge on fixing these issues fast.
