  • Master the Boring Stuff
    2026/09/22

Welcome back to Self-Help Book Junkie, where we are continuing our review of Be Useful: Seven Tools for Life by Arnold Schwarzenegger.

In this video, we are talking about one of the most important parts of success, manifestation, mastery, and becoming excellent at anything:

    the fundamentals.

Because the people we admire do not become great by skipping the basics.

They become great because they practice the basics over and over and over again, usually when no one is watching.

The athlete making the game-winning shot has practiced that shot thousands of times.

The musician who looks effortless on stage has played the boring scales, drills, and repetitions for years.

The speaker who commands the room has practiced speaking before the big room ever showed up.

The successful entrepreneur has practiced the sales calls, the messaging, the delivery, the mindset, and the follow-through long before the dream opportunity arrives.

That is the part most people want to skip.

    We want the breakthrough.

    We want the platform.

    We want the manifestation.

    We want the applause.

We want the moment where everything finally works.

But the moment only works because of the reps.

In this video, we talk about:

    • Why fundamentals matter more than fancy strategies
    • Why success is built through repetition
    • How elite performers practice hundreds or thousands of times for the few moments that count
    • Why manifestation requires practice, not just desire
    • How to rehearse the version of yourself you are becoming
    • Why the boring work is often the most important work
    • How practice builds confidence, clarity, and capacity
    • Why mastery makes you dangerous in the best possible way
    • How to practice conversations, sales calls, presentations, parenting, business, and leadership before the moment arrives
    • Why quality of practice matters as much as time spent
    • How repetition turns into flow state
    • Why complicated tools will not save you if you have not mastered the basics
    • How Be → Do → Have connects to daily practice

This is also a huge manifestation lesson.

Because conscious manifestation is not just about visualizing the thing once and hoping life figures out the rest.

You have to become the person who is ready when the opportunity arrives.

    That means you practice now.

You practice the conversation before the relationship.

You practice the sales call before the client.

You practice the presentation before the audience.

You practice showing up before the platform.

You practice your nervous system before the pressure.

You practice being the version of you who can hold the manifestation before the manifestation appears.

That is why I always say:

    Manifestation is easy.

Becoming a conscious manifestor is the work.

The fundamentals may not look glamorous.

    They may not feel exciting.

They may not make for the flashiest story.

But they build the foundation that allows everything else to stand.

So before you go looking for the most complicated strategy, ask yourself:

    Have I mastered the basics?

    Have I done the reps?

Have I practiced the one thing enough times that it becomes part of me?

Because mastery is not built by doing ten thousand different things one time.

Mastery is built by doing the right things consistently until they become who you are.

  • There Is No Substitute for Doing the Work
    2026/09/15

Welcome back to Self-Help Book Junkie, where we are continuing our review of Be Useful: Seven Tools for Life by Arnold Schwarzenegger.

In this video, we are talking about one of the biggest themes in the book:

There is no substitute for doing the work.

Arnold makes the point that he may not have been the strongest, smartest, richest, fastest, most connected, or most naturally talented person in the room.

But what he did have was the will to work.

    And that changes everything.

    Because talent is wonderful.

    Natural ability is wonderful.

    Opportunity is wonderful.

But none of it matters if you are not willing to put in the time, energy, focus, discipline, and repetition required to actually become excellent.

This is also one of the biggest misunderstandings about manifestation.

Manifestation does not mean you sit still and wait for life to hand you the dream.

It means you align your mindset, identity, vision, energy, and action so that when the opportunity shows up, you are ready to meet it.

You still have to do the work.

You still have to show up.

    You still have to train.

    You still have to study.

    You still have to practice.

You still have to put in the hours.

You still have to become the person who can hold the result you are asking for.

That is Be → Do → Have.

    You become the person.
You do what that person would do.
Then you can have what that person can hold.

In this video, I talk about:

    • Why work is the foundation of success
    • Why natural talent is not enough
    • How people with less talent can still become wildly successful
    • Why the will to work is one of your greatest advantages
    • How manifestation and work go together
    • Why aligned action matters
    • How work can become flow state
    • Why passion requires devotion
    • How to look honestly at where your time is going
    • Why one hour a day can change your life over time
    • How to stop saying you do not have time and start asking what you are giving your time to
    • Why nobody can take away your willingness to show up

The truth is, there will always be someone more talented.

    Someone smarter.

    Someone more connected.

    Someone better looking.

    Someone further ahead.

But they do not get to decide how much work you put in.

    That part belongs to you.

And when you are willing to pour yourself into your dream, your craft, your purpose, your content, your body, your business, your children, your art, your calling, or whatever it is that matters to you, something shifts.

The work becomes more than effort.

    It becomes devotion.

    It becomes flow.

It becomes the place where you meet the next version of yourself.

    So ask yourself:

What am I willing to do for my dream?

Where am I spending my time?

Am I actually working toward the thing I say I want?

Or am I waiting for life to make it easier first?

  • Ashley Day on Akashic Records and Healing
    2026/09/11

What are the Akashic Records, and how can they help you trust your own inner knowing?

In this episode of Mindset Matters More, I sit down with Ashley Day, embodiment coach, yoga instructor, community builder, and founder of Ashlightenment, for a beautiful conversation about intuition, healing, spiritual breadcrumbs, the Akashic Records, and what it means to come home to yourself.

Ashley shares how her journey into the Akashic Records did not happen overnight.

It started through life transitions, big moves, divorce, healing, curiosity, spiritual exploration, and the little breadcrumbs that kept leading her deeper into intuition, energy work, yoga, astrology, and eventually Akashic Records readings.

In this conversation, we talk about:

    • What the Akashic Records are
    • How Ashley began working with the Akashic Records
    • Why these readings are not predictive or fortune-telling
    • How the Akashic Records can help you gain clarity, perspective, and self-awareness
    • Why people often seek readings during major life thresholds
    • How intuition can show up through visions, sounds, feelings, and inner knowing
    • What the “claires” are and how Ashley experiences them
    • The difference between an Akashic Records reading and a psychic reading
    • Why free will matters in spiritual work
    • How readings can validate what your soul already knows
    • Why skepticism is normal
    • Why integrity matters when doing intuitive work
    • How Ashley’s own readings supported her through divorce, moving, and rebuilding
    • Why spiritual breadcrumbs often make more sense in hindsight
    • How learning to trust your intuition can open unexpected doors
    • What channeling feels like
    • How yoga, coaching, podcasting, and spiritual work can all become a form of flow state
    • Why coming home to yourself is one of the most powerful parts of healing

One of my favorite parts of this conversation is Ashley’s reminder that the Akashic Records are not here to scare you or tell you exactly what to do.

    They are here to illuminate.

    They help you zoom out.

    They help you see patterns.

They help you reconnect with your intuition.

They help you remember that maybe the answer was already inside of you, but your nervous system, fear, doubt, or overthinking made it hard to hear.

This conversation is for anyone who is curious about the Akashic Records, spiritual healing, intuitive development, energy work, embodiment, or what it feels like to be guided through a major life transition.

Because sometimes the thing that feels like a setback is actually a sacred redirect.

Sometimes the life you thought was ending is the beginning of a completely new chapter.

And sometimes the breadcrumbs that seem random in the moment are actually leading you back to yourself.

    Connect with Ashley:

    Website: https://ashlightenment.com

Ashley is offering listeners $22 off an Akashic Records session with the promo code:

    MINDSET22

She is also hosting Activate, a 3-hour immersive event in Kansas City this October with yoga, silent disco headphones, sound healing, community, and integration.

Don’t forget to like, subscribe, and share this episode with someone who is learning to trust their intuition, follow the breadcrumbs, and come home to themselves.

  • Arnold Schwarzenegger’s Advice on Dreaming Bigger
    2026/09/08

Welcome back to Self-Help Book Junkie, where we are continuing our review of Be Useful: Seven Tools for Life by Arnold Schwarzenegger.

In part three of this series, we are talking about one of my favorite lessons from the book:

If you are going to do it, do it.

Don’t just aim for the bare minimum.

Don’t just aim to get the diploma.
Aim to learn something that changes your life.

Don’t just aim to get the badge.
    Aim to become an example.

Don’t just aim to become a mechanic.
Aim to master the trade, open the shop, and become an asset to your community.

Don’t just aim to be a parent.
Aim to be an incredible parent who raises healthy, loving, capable children who go out into the world and do great things themselves.

This is where Arnold’s message connects so beautifully to manifestation.

Because manifestation is not about shrinking your dream so it feels more realistic.

It is about becoming the kind of person who can hold the dream beyond the dream.

    The bigger vision.

    The deeper purpose.

The version of the goal that actually stretches your identity.

In this video, we talk about:

    • Why your dreams should not stay small
    • What it means to go beyond the bare minimum
    • Why excellence is part of manifestation
    • How visualization connects to effort and action
    • Why you have to show up like the next-level version of yourself now
    • How to engage with your work as if the big dream is already real
    • Why self-concept matters when you are reaching for more
    • How to stop lowering your dream because you are afraid you will not get there
    • Why being worthy of more does not make you greedy
    • How Be → Do → Have connects to dreaming bigger
    • Why the journey toward the massive goal can transform your entire life

This is not about pretending you already have millions of subscribers, millions of dollars, the number one song, the dream business, the dream relationship, or the biggest opportunity of your life.

    It is about asking:

Who would I be if I believed that level was possible for me?

    How would I show up?
    How would I prepare?
    How would I learn?
    How would I serve?
    How would I create?
How would I treat the work in front of me?

Because when you lower your dream before you even begin, you are already telling your mind, your body, and your life that you do not believe you are worthy of the bigger thing.

But you are a child of God.

You are worthy of the big dream.

You are worthy of the top.

You are worthy of going all in.

And even if the journey takes time, even if you have to break it down one bite at a time, the vision still gets to be massive.

    Dream big.

    Reach higher.

Do not diminish your desire because it feels hard, scary, or too audacious.

Live your life as if you are willing to become excellent at what God placed in your heart.

Please support the author by buying the book, borrowing it from your local library, or reading it in whatever way works for you. Don’t just watch the videos for cliff notes. Engage with the material.

  • How to Rebuild When Everything Falls Apart
    2026/09/03

    Is health only skin deep?

In this episode of Mindset Matters More, I sit down with Jodi Scott, co-founder and CEO of Green Goo, a plant-based first aid and wellness company she built with her mother and sister.

And when I tell you this entrepreneurial story sounds like it needs to be a movie, I mean it.

Jodi helped take Green Goo from farmers markets to national retail, became an Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year, appeared on Shark Tank, sold the company, and then fought to buy her own company back.

    Yes.

    Built it.
    Sold it.
    Lost it.
    Bought it back.
And is now rebuilding it again with a completely different understanding of resilience, mindset, nervous system regulation, intuition, and what it actually takes to lead.

In this conversation, we talk about:

    • How Green Goo went from farmers markets to national retail
    • Why Jodi had to become fearless as an entrepreneur
    • How she learned to get comfortable with hearing “no”
    • Why “no” became an invitation for curiosity instead of defeat
    • How Green Goo became a pioneer in plant-based first aid
    • Why consumers were ready for cleaner products before the industry was
    • How plant-based wellness can work with the body instead of against it
    • What it was like to sell the company
    • How the pandemic changed everything for Green Goo
    • The devastating moment Jodi had to let go of her entire team, including family
    • The moment she realized the world still needed Green Goo
    • How she decided to fight to buy the company back
    • Why mindset support became essential during the reacquisition process
    • How presence, nervous system regulation, and strategic patience helped her navigate 18 difficult months
    • Why rebuilding required a different kind of resilience
    • How Green Goo is evolving in a new world of online sales, influencers, AI, and changed consumer behavior
    • What people misunderstand about plant-based products
    • Why ingredient integrity matters
    • How skin connects to the nervous system and overall wellness
    • What Shark Tank taught Jodi about alignment, pressure, and saying no

One of my favorite moments in this conversation is when Jodi talks about learning that real resilience is not always pushing harder.

Sometimes real resilience is getting present.

Because when everything is on fire, the instinct is to react, rush, force, and control.

    But presence creates space.

And in that space, you can hear the next right step.

That is where this conversation connects so deeply to manifestation.

Because Jodi’s story is not just about business.

    It is about identity.

    It is about deciding:

    “We are not done.”

Even when you do not know how.

Even when the path is unclear.

Even when the old way no longer works.

Even when you have to rebuild from the ground up.

This is a conversation for entrepreneurs, leaders, founders, wellness lovers, plant-based product fans, and anyone who has ever had to rebuild something they deeply believed in.

Because sometimes the story is not over.

Sometimes the narrative just gets more colorful.

Connect with Jodi and Green Goo:

Green Goo offers plant-based first aid, skin repair, wellness products, and intentional self-care products designed to support the body with whole-plant ingredients.

  • Arnold Schwarzenegger Is Right About Manifestation!
    2026/09/01

Welcome back to Self-Help Book Junkie, where we are continuing our review of Be Useful: Seven Tools for Life by Arnold Schwarzenegger.

And in this video, we are getting into one of the biggest misconceptions about manifestation:

That it is some kind of abracadabra magic trick where you visualize something once and suddenly it appears in your hand.

    Nope.

    That is not manifestation.

And honestly, Arnold makes that point beautifully in Be Useful. He reminds us that you cannot just visualize what you want and expect life to hand it to you. You still have to plan, work, learn, fail, adjust, and keep going.

    And I agree.

But I also want to add something important:

    That is manifestation.

    Manifestation is not just wishing.
    It is not just praying.
    It is not just journaling.
    It is not just visualizing.
    It is not just affirming.

    Those are tools.

But the real work is becoming the person who can recognize the opportunity, receive the inspiration, take the action, and walk the path.

In this video, I share one of my favorite stories about a man who prayed every night to win the lottery, only to get to heaven and find out the reason he never won was because he never bought a ticket.

    That is the lesson.

You still have to buy the ticket.

    You still have to move.

You still have to take the step.

You still have to do something.

That is why I always come back to Be → Do → Have.

You become the person who can receive the thing.
You do what that person would do.
Then you can have what that person can hold.

Manifestation is not about forcing life to magically rearrange itself while you stay exactly the same.

It is about shifting your mindset, opening your awareness, receiving divine inspiration, and taking aligned action so that the thing you desire becomes inevitable.

Because the opportunities may already be there.

But if your mindset, identity, and belief system are not aligned with them, you will not even recognize them.

The love of your life might look like the electrician.

The business opportunity might look like a random conversation.

The answered prayer might look like a step you are scared to take.

    So yes, visualize.

    Yes, pray.

    Yes, journal.

    Yes, affirm.

    But then move.

    Walk the path.

    Buy the ticket.

    Take the action.

That is not manifestation mumbo jumbo.

    That is conscious creation.

    2026/08/25

The Self-Help Book Junkie series is back!

In this video, I’m reviewing Be Useful: Seven Tools for Life by Arnold Schwarzenegger, and we’re starting with one of my favorite ideas from the book: the long walk.

Arnold talks about walking as a way to clear your mind, solve problems, and open yourself up to new ideas. And honestly, I love this because some of the best inspiration does not come when we are sitting around trying to force it.

Sometimes divine inspiration comes when we move.

    When we walk.
    When we breathe.
    When we get outside.
When we give our brains enough space to actually hear the answer.

In this first video, we are talking about how walking, movement, and exercise can feed the brain, support creativity, and help us access clarity in a different way.

And yes, there is a specific way to do it.

So make sure you watch the video, because we are not just talking about walking for exercise. We are talking about walking as a tool for thinking, receiving, processing, and becoming.

  • The Truth About Energy, Menopause, and Women’s Health w/Wendy Harmon
    2026/08/18

What if your body is trying to talk to you, and you are just not listening?

In this episode of Mindset Matters More, I sit down with Wendy Harmon, creator of the Vitality Life Map, for a powerful conversation about women’s health, perimenopause, menopause, breast cancer recovery, energy, resilience, self-advocacy, and learning how to work with your body instead of against it.

Wendy spent years as a Fortune 500 Director of Sales and Marketing until one phone call changed everything.

While boarding a flight home, she learned that she had stage 2 breast cancer.

At first, she asked the question so many of us would ask:

    Why me?

But by the time the plane landed, that question had shifted into something more powerful:

    What now?

That shift carried her through chemotherapy, radiation, 14 surgeries over 4 years, medical menopause, motherhood, work, recovery, and ultimately into a new mission.

Now, more than 8 years cancer-free, Wendy helps high-achieving women understand what is happening in their bodies so they can reclaim their energy, confidence, strength, and vitality.

In this conversation, we talk about:

    • Why there is nothing wrong with you or your body
    • Why your body will whisper before it screams
    • How women can begin listening to their bodies more closely
    • Why we need to ask better questions in doctors’ offices
    • How to advocate for yourself when something feels off
    • Why routines that worked in your 30s may stop working in your 40s and 50s
    • Why perimenopause and menopause require new systems
    • How strength training supports women as they age
    • Why energy dips, brain fog, weight changes, and exhaustion deserve attention
    • How nutrition can help reset your health baseline
    • Why sleep, routines, and nervous system regulation matter
    • How mindset helped Wendy move from “Why me?” to “What now?”
    • Why feeling your feelings is part of healing
    • How Wendy rebuilt strength between surgeries
    • Why small, practical systems can help busy women make real progress
    • What the Vitality Life Map is and how it supports women

This conversation is especially for high-achieving women who are used to pushing through.

The women who keep producing, performing, working, leading, caring, managing, and showing up, even when their bodies are begging them to pause and pay attention.

Because exhaustion is not always something to power through.

Brain fog is not always something to ignore.

Weight changes are not always about discipline.

And feeling “off” does not mean you are failing.

It may simply mean your body needs a new system.

Wendy’s work is about helping women stop blaming themselves and start becoming the CEO of their own health, vitality, and recovery.

Because health is not just about surviving.

It is about having the energy, clarity, strength, and confidence to live fully.

    Connect with Wendy:

Through the Vitality Life Map, Wendy offers a vitality assessment, group programs, a 14-day Vitality Reset, health foundation support through WildFit, mindset work, strength training guidance, and a weekly newsletter with practical resources for women navigating health, energy, and vitality.

Don’t forget to like, subscribe, and share this episode with a woman who needs to remember that her body is not the enemy.

    Her body is communicating.

And it is time to listen.
