Thomas Theiner joins us for a Visegrad24 podcast to discuss the war in Ukraine, European military plans and what is holding the West back from sending Ukraine all the weapons they need. From the start of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Twitter users have been flocking to his account to find out more about the role played by artillery during the Russo-Ukrainian war. Mr Theiner gained his knowledge in the field while serving in an artillery unit of the Italian Army. Since 2009, he has been spending a lot of time in Ukraine, leaving him with a great network of contacts in the country and an understanding of why Ukrainians have been fighting so hard to hold back the Russian Army. He has also been analyzing and reporting on open source intelligence and conflicts in the former Soviet Union since the Russian annexation of Crimea in 2014.
