Luke Vidal and Nicole Kay is a runner's love story made in heaven....or Ft. Myers. They are one of the nicest and most enthusiastic running couples you will ever meet. I think I formally met them at Trident last year, but had been at a few races that they were at before that. Their stories are quite interesting and entertaining. I first heard Thierry Guillot's name when he got 5th place at Long Haul 100 this year in 17:57:26 at 56 years old. This was a 50ish minute PR for him, but don't be fooled by the flat race time. This dude has done some tough ones all over the world including a recent finish at Cruel Jewel and Canyons. He's from Miami by way of France and he's a fast marathoner as well. Enjoy!

Rick Albanese is a guy I met online back in the early Spring this year when he reached out with questions about the Chief Ladiga 100. After he finished the race, I learned it was his comeback race after beating cancer. I love a good comeback story, so I asked him to share it with you. I have been following Emily Hawgood ever since I saw her at the runners meeting up by the stage for Western States in 2023. She loves that race and just exudes positivity and joy. James Ebert is a friend that I found in my preparation for Southern States 200. He won the inaugural event in just over 48 hours, and I was hoping to get some tips from him to help me (a much slower guy) be able to complete the race. It ended up not happening for me because of injury, but I've been able to chat with him a few times now. James is no stranger to Florida races either, having done Death at Dupuis twice, Across Florida 200, and taking 2nd place overall this year at Long Haul 100. He also went back to defend his title at Southern States. You'll have to listen to see how that worked out. Enjoy!
