Cody Warren is an entrepreneur and ultrarunner from Ohio. I met him in person during Keys 100 in 2023. We had met through Harvey Lewis on social media before that. He is a humble and passionate fan of the sport, a family man, and just a real treat to get to know. The Watters family from Alabama are Bob and Heather (the parents), and Ana and Larkin (the future of Alabama ultras for years to come, no pressure...ha-ha). Bob has done pretty much all of the tough trail 100 milers in the southeast as well as a couple 200's, including Southern States inaugural year. Larkin just finished the SS200 this year with the help of the whole family and a few other friends. Ana is the 50k specialist of the family and pacer/PT.

I had the opportunity to follow along on FB this year as Larkin faced the challenges of a multi-day race with the support of the family. I was enthralled by Heather's detailed commentary and the way the family and friends rallied to help Larkin keep moving despite about 100 miles of really painful and slow going. Dan Hilliard from South Florida just finished his first 100 miler recently at Hungryland 100 down near Lake Okechobee in South Florida. The RD is our good friend Mikey Bee and this is no easy first race. It's a beautiful area with no light pollution and other city disturbances. Also home to the largest gator I've ever seen. Dan is an interesting, humble guy, coached by Chris and Ivi with Runfluent, and of course a great steward of the sport and the trails. Enjoy getting to know Dan!
