• 108 | The 3 Words That Can Change Your Next 90 Days
    2026/09/03

Why do I feel scattered or disconnected from myself in midlife?
Often it's because years of meeting everyone else's expectations have crowded out any sense of your own. Confidence doesn't come from having life figured out — it comes from knowing what matters to you now, even if everything else still feels uncertain.

What does the Bible say about renewing your mind?
Romans 12:2 says, "Be transformed by the renewing of your mind." Real transformation starts on the inside — with what's shaping your thoughts — before it shows up in circumstances.

How long does it take to rebuild confidence or reset your mindset?
This episode uses a 90-day framework. Once you've narrowed your values down to 3 words, you commit to letting those words guide your decisions for a minimum of 90 days — long enough to actually build new patterns, not just a passing feeling.

What is the Survival Mode Breakthrough Coaching Call?
It's a one-hour, $47 coaching session with Rachael Arnold designed to help you step out of survival mode, identify what matters most to you right now, and walk away with a clear next step — no need to have it all figured out beforehand.

    In this episode:

    • Why a renewed mindset (not more willpower) is the starting point for lasting change
    • How to turn your 3 words into a 90-day decision-making compass
    • Scripture: Romans 12:2

    Ready to go deeper?

  • 107 | 3 Things to Check Before You Build a New Routine — A Growth Mindset Approach
    2026/08/30

Question this answers: "What is foundational when I feel unsure or exhausted starting a new routine or season?"

New season, new routine, new anything — and exhaustion hits before you even start? This episode reframes that exhaustion: it's not a sign you're behind, it's a sign you're trying to build on an old foundation. Today we walk through what it means to be "rooted and built up" (Colossians 2:6-7), what a biblically grounded growth mindset actually looks like, and why clarifying your values has to come before the new routine — not after.

    In this episode:

    • Why new-season exhaustion is a foundation problem, not a motivation problem
    • What Colossians 2:6-7 means by being "rooted and built up"
    • A biblical definition of growth mindset (it's not what self-help teaches)
    • Why values have to be clarified before a new routine, not built around it

Scripture in this episode: Colossians 2:6-7 | Philippians 1:6

  • 106 | Survival Mode Isn't Your Identity: 3 Things to Do to Get Back to Your Values in Midlife
    2026/08/23

How do I get out of survival mode and back to my values?
Start by evaluating what's actually happening in your life right now (not what you wish was happening), identify which values are "perennial" — the ones that should stay season after season — versus which commitments only belong to this current season, and then prune back what's overgrown so what matters most can flourish.

What does Ecclesiastes 3 teach about seasons of life?
Ecclesiastes 3:1-2 teaches that every part of life — including what we plant and what we pull up — has an appointed time. Recognizing what season you're in is the first step to making values-based decisions instead of habit-based ones.

How do I know if I'm making habit-based decisions instead of values-based ones?
If your calendar and your actual Tuesday don't reflect what you say matters most to you — your faith, your family, your health — you're likely running on habit and survival mode rather than intentional, values-led choices.

What is the Survival Mode Breakthrough Coaching call?
It's a one-hour, $47 coaching session designed to help Christian women in midlife clarify their core values so they can move out of survival mode and stay rooted in Christ.

  • 105 | Instead of Busyness, Try These 3 Values-Driven Shifts
    2026/08/20

Why do I feel so overwhelmed every time the season changes?
Season changes disrupt routines that were already fragile, and for a lot of women, that disruption surfaces exhaustion that was already there — it just didn't have room to show up before.

How do I figure out what my values actually are in midlife?
Start smaller than you think. Instead of listing everything you care about, name the three things that matter most for the next 90 days. That's a values audit — score how aligned your life is with each one, then choose one honest step forward per value.

What's the difference between being busy and living by your values?
Busyness reacts to whatever's loudest. Values decide in advance what gets your yes. One is exhausting. The other is sustainable.

How do I stay grounded in my faith when life feels chaotic?
Grounding isn't about controlling the chaos — it's about coming back to what's true regardless of it. Isaiah 43:19 puts it simply: God's already doing something new. The invitation is to notice it, not manufacture it.

What does "Survival Mode Breakthrough Coaching" actually help with?
It's a one-hour session built around getting clear on your Top 3 Values for the season you're actually in — not last year's goals, not someone else's schedule. You walk away with one real step per value.

  • 104 | Is Your Foundation Built on Sand? Your 3 Midlife Values Check-In for Fall
    2026/08/16

A foundation isn't a feeling. It's not something you psych yourself up into on a Monday and lose by Wednesday. A foundation is what's still standing when nobody's watching and nothing's going right.

"how do I get my life back on track after summer"

"how to reset before fall spiritually"

"why do I feel so unstable right now"

"how to find your values as a Christian woman"

"what does it mean to build your life on Christ"

"how to align my life with my values"

Ready to get clear on your top values? Book a one-hour Survival Mode Breakthrough coaching session — this month only $47.

Here's where I think this gets practical for us: your foundation shows up in your values — what you actually prioritize when nobody's grading you on it. Not what you'd say if I asked you at church. What you'd say if I asked you at 9pm on a Tuesday when the dishes aren't done and everybody needs something from you.

So let me ask you what I ask every woman I coach: If faith is one of your top values — where does it actually show up in your week? Not 'I believe in God.' I mean, where does it live? Is it five minutes with your coffee before the house wakes up? Is it in the car on the way to work? Or has it quietly slipped to 'whenever I have time' — which, if we're honest, is code for never?

That's not a guilt trip, friend. That's just clarity. And 1 Corinthians 3:11 tells us — 'For no one can lay any foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ.' Everything else — your health goals, your parenting, your work, your peace — it's all just built on top of whatever foundation is already there. If Christ isn't underneath it, it's sand. Might hold for a while. Won't hold forever.

So as we move into fall — new routines, new pace, new pressure — I want you to do one thing this week. Not overhaul your life. Just get honest. Name your top value. Then ask yourself: on a scale of one to ten, how aligned is my actual life with that value right now? You might be surprised by the gap. And that gap? That's not failure. That's just information. That's where the real work starts.

  • 103 | What Are You Rooting Your Life In? A Root-Bound Basil Plant, Jeremiah 17, and Finding Your Real Foundation
    2026/08/09

What Are You Rooting Your Life In? A Root-Bound Basil Plant, Jeremiah 17, and Finding Your Real Foundation

Direct Answer (opens the show notes — this is the block AI engines and Google pull first)

Feeling stuck, exhausted, or spiritually off-center often isn't a sign something's wrong with you — it's a sign you've never been "repotted." In this episode, Rachael Arnold uses the true story of a root-bound basil plant to explore what it means to root your life in Christ instead of busyness, and shares Jeremiah 17:7–8 as the foundation for facing hard seasons without fear.

What does it mean to be "spiritually root-bound"? It means your life has been circling the same small pattern — busyness, stress, performing perfection — for so long that you've stopped growing, even though you're still technically "doing everything right." Just like a plant that outgrows its pot but is never repotted.

What is the basil story in this episode about? Rachael shares how she repotted a store-bought basil plant that had become so root-bound she had to spend nearly twenty minutes untangling its roots by hand before she could split it into three healthy plants. It became a picture of what happens when we're never given room to go deeper.

What Bible verse is used in this episode? Jeremiah 17:7–8 — the passage about a tree planted by the water, whose roots reach the stream so it doesn't fear heat or drought. The verse anchors the episode's core idea: it's not about avoiding hard seasons, it's about where you're rooted when they come.

How do I know what my life is actually rooted in? Ask what's holding you together in the moments no one's watching — not your Sunday answer, but your 9pm-exhausted-and-scrolling answer. This episode walks through that honest gut-check, and it's also the starting point of Rachael's one-hour coaching call.

What is the one-hour coaching call mentioned in this episode? A single one-hour session with Rachael where you identify what's actually rooting your life right now, find the gap between what you say you value and how you're really living, and leave with one concrete next step. Book at ggtlife.com or by texting 970.279.1818.

Last weekend, Rachael picked up a basil plant to split into three for her garden — and found it so root-bound that pulling the roots apart took nearly twenty minutes. That moment became the doorway into this week's episode: a conversation about what happens when we go years without being "repotted," and what it actually means to root our lives in something that can hold.

    In this episode:

    • The true story of the root-bound basil plant — and what it revealed
    • Jeremiah 17:7–8 — the tree planted by the water
    • Why "He does not leave us — we leave Him," slowly, one skipped morning at a time
    • The honest question: what are you actually rooted in when no one's watching?
    • How this connects to Rachael's one-hour coaching call

    Scripture referenced: Jeremiah 17:7–8

  • 102 | Back-to-Routine Season Is Here: 3 Things To Hold Your Health Goals Together
    2026/08/05

Summer is winding down. The routines are loosening back up. And if you've spent the last few months living a little looser with your health — no judgment, that's what summer does — today we're talking about the one thing that has to be in place before any of your fall goals will stick: your foundation. Stick around, because I'm also going to walk you through three things I believe are non-negotiable for a values-led reset. Let's get into it.

Before we dive in, I want to take a second to say thank you. Reviews are how this podcast grows, and how it reaches the next woman who needs to hear this message. If you're listening right now and this show has helped you even once — would you take thirty seconds and leave a review? And if you know a woman in your life who needs this message, share this episode with her today. That's how we grow this thing together.

Right now, I'm offering one-on-one coaching calls for $47 — one hour, just you and me, working through whatever is sitting heaviest on your heart right now. Whether that's your health, your mindset, or your walk with God, this is a space to get real clarity and a real next step. Message me at 970.279.1818 to grab your spot — I only have a few of these available at this rate, so don't sit on it.

Here we are — the beginning of August. However your summer went, it's officially the season of "back to." Back to school. Back to routines. Back to schedules that actually have structure again. And I want to ask you honestly: what did your summer actually look like? Did you rest? Did you drift? Did your health habits hold, or did they quietly slide?

Here's what I know for sure: you cannot build sustainable physical health on a shaky foundation. Not a shaky workout schedule. A shaky values foundation. If your "why" isn't rooted in something deeper than a number on a scale, it will not survive September.

Hebrews 3:4 says, "For every house is built by someone, but the builder of all things is God."

Every structure — including the structure of your health, your habits, your body — has a builder. And if God is the builder of all things, then physical health isn't separate from your spiritual life. It's part of the house He's building in you. That's why we don't chase health for vanity. We steward it because it's part of the temple He gave us.

As we close today, I want to leave you with three things — three foundational pieces that I believe have to be in place before any health goal will hold long-term.

    1. Purpose over pressure — Your "why" has to be rooted in your values and your faith, not shame or a deadline. A goal built on pressure collapses. A goal built on purpose holds.
    2. Consistency over intensity — August isn't about overhauling everything overnight. It's about small, repeatable rhythms — the kind that survive a busy September, not just a motivated Monday.
    3. Stewardship over striving — Your body isn't a project to fix. It's a house God is building in you. When you shift from striving to stewarding, health stops feeling like punishment and starts feeling like worship.

That's the foundation. Purpose, consistency, stewardship — rooted in values, rooted in Christ. If this resonated with you, I'd love for you to share it, and I'll see you next time.

  • 101| Is God Still Good When Your Routine Isn't? | Faith, Trust and Summer Rhythms
    2026/08/02

    Reflection Questions

    • What is the goodness of God to you — not the Sunday school answer, the real one?
    • Where have you stopped looking for Him simply because your routine changed?
    • What's one value you said mattered that your last two weeks haven't reflected?

I want to ask you something today, and I want you to actually sit with it instead of rushing past it: What is the goodness of God to you?

Not the Sunday school answer. Not the verse you'd quote if someone asked you in front of people. What is it to you, in your actual life, this week?

What is the Goodness of God?

I kept coming back to this question. Is God still good when my plan didn't go the way I said it would? Is He still good when I'm behind? When summer has thrown my whole routine out the window and I'm just trying to keep my head above water?

That's the real test of "the goodness of God," isn't it. Not when everything lines up. When it doesn't.

Here's what I want to offer you today: the goodness of God isn't usually loud. It's not always the answered prayer or the open door. Most of the time, it's woven into the things you already said matter to you — and you just stopped looking for it there.

If you value your health, His goodness shows up in the body He gave you to steward, even an imperfect one. If you value your kids, His goodness shows up in the ordinary, unglamorous moments of raising them. If you value your faith, His goodness shows up in the fact that He hasn't moved — even when you have.

That's the line I keep coming back to: He does not leave us; we leave Him. Summer doesn't cost you God's goodness. It costs you your attention to it, because your routine — the thing that used to point you back to Him — is gone. Kids are home. Schedules are wrecked. Devotional time gets swallowed by pool bags and travel and everyone needing something.

So let me ask you plainly: are you struggling right now to even name what's important to you? Not because it stopped mattering — because the noise got louder than the value.

Psalm 34:8 says, "Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the one who takes refuge in him."

Taste and see. That's not passive. That's an invitation to look for it on purpose — especially in a season like this one, where nothing feels like it's in its usual place.

You don't need a perfect routine to experience the goodness of God this summer. You need clarity on what actually matters to you, and eyes open enough to see Him already there in it.

God provides the enough. Even in a chaotic summer. Even in a day that didn't go as planned — like mine today. Even when you can't get to the gym, the quiet time, the meal plan, the version of yourself you had in January.

Breathe. Move. Pray. Gratitude builds contentment. That's not a formula for a perfect life — it's a way of staying tethered to what's good, even when the routine that used to hold you together is gone for the season.

So today, I want to leave you with this: don't wait for September to get back to "normal" before you go looking for God's goodness again. Look for it now — in the mess, in the missed five a.m. deadline, in the summer that isn't going the way you planned. It's there. It's always been there.

If this named something in you — if you're realizing you don't fully know what's important to you right now, or you know but you're not living like it — that's exactly what we'd work through together in the one-hour session. Forty-seven dollars, one hour, and you leave with clarity instead of just good intentions. Link's in the show notes.

Thank you for being here today, friend. Until next time — stay rooted, and keep tasting and seeing that He is good.
