A hundred community members formed a human chain to move the entire Middletown Springs Library collection to its brand-new, six-times-larger home—a former church turned cultural hub. Funded by grants, town money, and over 120 local donors, the project reflects deep community pride. Former director Maureen McCormack’s vision and local builder leadership helped navigate challenges like winter delays. Director Kimberly Bushnell, who’s led the library since 2008, is thrilled for the expanded space but sad to leave the cozy old building. From kids painting sidewalk art to volunteers carrying books, this isn’t just a library upgrade—it’s a celebration of connection, learning, and shared purpose in a small town.
