Welcome to Mel’s diary: unscripted. Today let me tell you about this new podcast and give you an intro into where it started who I am and where I am hoping that this journey will take us.

I had intended on building Sandcastles today. I was all set to sit down and write a post about my new YouTube channel and what it’s about, and instead I found myself going down a literary rabbit hole of thoughts and ideas of things I want to talk about and write about.…

So, there you have it – a day that started with the best laid (I don’t say plans exactly) and ended with a skeleton in a parking lot and a reminder that sometimes, God’s sense of humor is just as unpredictable as his timing.

I was reading Psalms 139 verse 14 today where it says, I will give thanks to Youyou for I am fearfully and wonderfully made and I had the thought, I really don’t feel very wonderfully made. Then the Holy Spirit gave me a nudge that encouraged me to look deeper into the most important parts of us are that are fearfully and wonderfully made.

Looking at the concept of gratitude as a choice, not a byproduct, and realizing that there is so much more beyond that saying. Looking deeper at gratitude and it being a choice and realizing that it isn’t just some passive thing that we choose, but rather something that is deeper more intentional that we can learn.
