In our first episode, we discussed perimenopause and the book "The Way Out" by Alan Gordon with Abby Glogower, an archivist, educator, and community historian. Our discussion was about perimenopause, chronic pain management, and the importance of body autonomy via compassionate self-reflection. The discussion identified chronic pain as a potential neuropsychological condition requiring compassionate curiosity rather than judgment. We concluded that focusing on bodily acceptance and individual rest practices improves long-term health outcomes.
