Hi everyone, welcome to Meet. My name is Mason. And, well, I’ve always wanted to start a podcast. Meet was born out of a pitch for the newspaper, specifically, The Paisano - UTSA’s independent student newspaper. By the way, you should totally check it out! There are some really cool things going on over there.
With this podcast, I see it living in the realm of conversation and a show that crosses disciplines. I hope you enjoy it!
In this episode, I sat down with San Antonio filmmaker and educator, Alex Ramirez. We chatted over zoom on his filmmaking origins, development of his style through the theater, how he works with his actors, as well what inspires him about the cinema of the past and present.I’m still working out the kinks–shaking off the dust–so please forgive me if there are any audio issues present.
