The Medieval Christian History walked out of the cities of the Roman Empire and into the emptiest places on earth, trading everything for silence. What they found in the desert, and what followed them there, became one of history's strangest and most influential experiments. This show tells the true stories of the Desert Fathers.

Each episode reconstructs one life in full, cinematic detail: the world abandoned, the cave or cell in the wilderness, the visitors who arrived seeking miracles, and the battles fought entirely within one man's mind. No host chatting between clips, no panel debating theology. Just one complete story, narrated start to finish, built from the sayings, letters, and early accounts that preserved the desert fathers for seventeen centuries.

You will meet desert fathers who lived atop pillars for decades, hermits who advised emperors from mud huts, and monks whose discipline shaped monastic life from Egypt to Ireland. Some episodes follow a single father's journey from wealth to wilderness; others trace how the desert communities grew, fractured, and endured. All of them treat the desert fathers as what they were: radicals who tested the outer limits of the human spirit.

If you are drawn to stories of extreme devotion told with rigor, this is built for you. New episodes drop regularly, each one a self-contained life from the desert. Subscribe now so the next of the Medieval Christian History lands the moment it goes live.Copyright OBOMEDIA ENTERTAINMENT キリスト教 スピリチュアリティ 聖職・福音主義
