  • Do You Condemn Liano Sharon? False Accusations and MSM Propaganda in Action, and More
    2026/09/23

We start the show looking at an article from Bridge Michigan on how declining college enrollment is impacting the economies of Michigan's college towns.

We are joined by Liano Sharon who has been the center of a big controversy in Michigan politics over the weekend. An unnamed activist in DC told Haley Stevens they'd "see them at the gallows" after she engaged in genocide denial in reference to Gaza. After an interview with Jake Altman those words were falsely attributed to progressive activist and Michigan democratic party organizer Liano Sharon. Liano sets the record straight and joins us to discuss historical context and how the mainstream media minces words to push a narrative.

We look at a report from Drop Site News that looks at the dubious nature of Mike Rogers' coalition of Jewish democratic supporters and how it relies more on astroturfing than grassroots support.

Ed Sheeran cries about the consequences of his own actions and we discuss the grand jury dropping the case of Nolan Wells, a black teenager lynched in Mississippi.

We close with an update about the merger between Paramount and Warner Bros.

    2026/10/14

We begin by observing Indigenous Peoples Day and the unique challenges to Native Americans in 2026.

Lawrence joins us and we discuss the expansion of the Kalamazoo Promise to HBCUs. We talk about the Rogers/ El-Sayed debate. We look at an oil spill in Sterling Heights and how local media dropped the ball and underreported the danger to public health.

ICE has raided the apartment of Ilhan Omar and shot a New York worker in the middle of a busy street. Not great news, and according to an article from the Associated Press Michigan college students are feeling some existential angst about the USA.

Lawrence talks about some recent gender inequity towards the WNBA and we update you on the campaign to free Nurse Freeman.

  • Rest in Power Mario David Coronado Juárez, and More
    2026/09/30

We start our show talking about how rule changes brought by last year's Big BS bill are going to make it harder for Michiganders to keep food on the table come October.

The ACLU and Amnesty International are suing the University of Michigan over their treatment of anti-genocide protestors.

We discuss the death of Grand Rapids based worker Mario David Coronado Juarez at the hands of ICE and look at a deep dive from GRIID about how Juarez's death is part of a long legacy of colonialism.

We provide some updates of how the establishment Democratic Party is interfacing with three different progressive campaigns- the defanging of Troy Jackson by the consultant class, leaving Angie Nixon "on read," and their efforts to sabotage Abdul.

We discuss the atrocious SA incident at Cornell and contrast it with how the university disciplines anti-genocide protestors.

We look at a recent attack ad against Abdul and how it's straight from the 80s.

Michiganders are speaking out against a recent $1 million grant from the State of Michigan to an Israeli defense contractor and we comment on the surreal spectacle of watching a monstrous war criminal stand at the dais at the UN and whine about people being "mean" to his country on Twitter.

  • 3 Years of Genocide w/ Sarah James of KNOW, WWMT Bias, and More
    2026/10/07

We talk about an Ann Arbor nurse being targeted by the Trump administration for allegedly helping a worker escape from ICE.

We are joined by Sarah James from Kalamazoo Non-Violent Opponents of War to discuss the 3rd anniversary of the genocide in Gaza, the changes in public opinion and the media landscape, and more. KNOW is planning a road side demonstration at the corner of Stadium and Drake at 5PM on October 7th.

Andy and Lawrence discuss the measure on the ballot for a Michigan constitutional convention. Progressive groups are motivating Michiganders to vote "no" concerned that corporate interests will minimize gains made in recent years. Lawrence posits that this could be a missed opportunity.

We go over the pros and cons of a Michigan constitutional convention.

Liberals are aghast after discovering that Tom Morello said "f--k you I won't do what you tell me" when told to Vote Blue No Matter Who.

We assess the media coverage of the Michigan Senate race from local CBS affiliate WWMT owned by ultra conservative local news monopoly Sinclair Broadcasting. The results are unlikely to surprise you.

Zohran Mamdani recently told Theo Von that Socialism is when the government does stuff. We offer an important correction- that it's all about the workers.

We give you an update on how the community owners are putting THE PEOPLE back into the People's Food Co-op. We break down Trump's latest tariff skirmish with Canada. We reintroduce the show for new students and listeners an decipher the media bias around some stories involving our Michigan Senate candidates El- Sayed and Rogers. • Powerless in Gary, Michigan Election Updates, and More
    2026/08/26
We look at an article from MLive describing the plummet in teacher pay in Michigan over the last 30 years and how Kalamazoo city commissioners are skeptical over a ballot initiative that will make the city assemble a 'Healthcare Action Committee.' Residents in Gary have been without power for two weeks. We discuss the scale of the disaster, the systemic racism and classism it represents, and how one of the biggest natural disaster fumbles since Hurricane Katrina is getting little media attention. We talk about Jocelyn Benson and Winnie Brinks' run for governor and how both their platform and their donor roster promises more of the same. However, if you judge her only on conservative attack ads, Benson is an ANTIFA terrorist who once worked with the radical outfit (checks notes) the Southern Poverty Law Center? We also look at the senate race and how Mike Rodgers is trying to have it both ways with AIPAC- trying to keep their presence out of the race but keeping their money in. Nazi dork Jake Lang tried to disrupt Dearborn last week and was met with pushback from both local residents and even some conservative Michiganders who are telling their ideological fellows "don't believe the hype." We close with several quick hits on topics ranging from the WNBA to DTE's attempt to stop Ann Arbor from moving forward with a municipally controlled power utility. 02:25- 15:30 Teacher Pay in Michigan Among Lowest in the Nation 16:45- 27:25 Kzoo City Commission Comments on Ballot Proposal to Set Up Healthcare Action Committee 28:30- 48:00 Powerless in Gary 50:00- 1:13:30 Benson for Governor: Boring Corporate Democrat or Antifa Terrorist? 1:13:30- 1:25:00 Rodgers Doesn't Want AIPAC's Endorsement (But He Will Take Their Paper) 1:25:00- 1:39:25 Nazi Dork Jake Lang Disrupts Dearborn, Gets Clocked by Friendly Neighborhood Antifascist 1:39:30- 1:52:00 Quick Hits: WNBA, KPL Union Demands Higher Wages, DTE vs. Ann Arbor, National Association of Black Journalists SOURCES/ FURTHER READING Michigan teacher pay down 29% since 1995, creating ‘uphill battle’ for schools, study says https://www.mlive.com/education/2026/08/michigan-teacher-pay-down-29-since-1995-creating-uphill-battle-for-schools-study-says.html ‘I am 100% opposed’: Kalamazoo leaders skeptical of cryptic proposal on Nov. 3 ballot https://www.mlive.com/news/kalamazoo/2026/08/i-am-100-opposed-kalamazoo-leaders-skeptical-of-cryptic-proposal-on-nov-3-ballot.html Gary residents say 2 weeks without electricity are like 'end times' https://www.indystar.com/story/news/environment/2026/08/24/thousands-hoosiers-no-electricity-nipsco-power-outage-northwest-indiana-storms/91430913007/ Power of the People - Gary Mutual Aid Disaster Relief Solidarity Response https://actionnetwork.org/fundraising/b11285a05b6e32036b17c4b58522b50761ecb6d1 Lots of celebration on socials about the Benson/Brinks ticket but what does it actually mean for working families in Michigan https://griid.org/2026/08/20/lots-of-celebration-on-socials-about-the-benson-brinks-ticket-but-what-does-it-actually-mean-for-working-families-in-michigan/ El-Sayed’s GOP Opponent Attended 3 AIPAC-Hosted Fundraisers in 1 Day https://truthout.org/articles/el-sayeds-gop-opponent-attended-3-aipac-hosted-fundraisers-in-1-day/ A KPL union asks residents to support its campaign for higher wages at a trustees meeting https://www.wmuk.org/wmuk-news/2026-08-20/a-kpl-union-asks-residents-to-support-its-campaign-for-higher-wages-at-a-trustees-meeting DTE-funded group sues Ann Arbor after it approves November ballot question for city-owned utility https://michiganadvance.com/2026/08/17/dte-funded-group-sues-ann-arbor-after-it-approves-november-ballot-question-for-city-owned-utility/

    2026/08/19

We start the show with an update on a court case involving anti-genocide protestors from the University of Michigan.

An article from Michigan Advance lays out the consequences of the Big BS Bill on SNAP recipients here in the state.

We spend the rest of the hour breaking down the issues dozens of Kalamazoo residents brought to the city commission last night. From the eviction of unhoused residents on Edwards St, to the AI moratorium, to the demand for Kalamazoo to take down Flock cameras.*

Some chaos in Comstock politics has lead to the appointment of progressive Bill Korb to the township board.

We spend time discussing the dire conditions aboard the USS Abraham Lincoln and do a post-mortem on the Wisconsin gubernatorial primary and talk about some important races today in Florida.

*CORRECTION: The Flock Amendment passed by the Kzoo City Commission DOES apply to existing cameras and infrastructure- there will be public vote when it comes time for the city to RENEW the Flock contract.
