Today we share together how the Lord teaches us concerning tribulation. When the disciples asked what sign there would be of His coming and of the end of the age, the Lord answered like this. First, He said that we would hear of wars and rumors of wars. There are disasters that come when the technology man has made breaks down unexpectedly, and there are disasters that come through unseasonable weather—heavy snow, cold waves, floods, and earthquakes. Whether they come from man or from nature, things that can only be called upheavals keep happening everywhere without ceasing.

Jesus told His disciples to learn the parable of the fig tree. Just as we know that summer is drawing near when the branch becomes tender and leaves sprout, He said that when we see the things He spoke of appearing, we are to know that the Son of Man is near, at the doors. God does not want the saints to live knowing nothing at all of the flow of the times. He wants us to look at the world in the light of the word and prepare for the Lord’s return.
