Sherry Postlewaite shares her journey into the Catholic faith and her experiences as a member of Mary Queen. Sherry and her husband Jay, after years in various Christian churches, felt a longing for something deeper that ultimately led them to the Catholic Church during the COVID-19 pandemic. She describes the challenges and unique aspects of joining the Church during such an unusual time, including participating in RCIA classes in person while navigating health precautions.

Sherry reflects on powerful moments of transformation, from learning to pray the Rosary to discovering the Eucharist’s significance and the peace that regular prayer brought her during difficult times. She discusses her active involvement in parish life—serving as a greeter, participating in women’s groups, volunteering at events like fish fries and potlucks, and helping launch the new hospitality committee. Throughout the conversation, Sherry emphasizes the importance of “proclaiming the greatness of God” through her actions and the joy she has found in her faith community.
