Married A.F. is the candid, laugh-out-loud podcast about what really goes on after “I do.” Equal parts heartfelt and hilarious, this show explores the highs, lows, and everyday quirks of married life – with nothing off-limits. Each week, Matt and Monica pull back the curtain on marriage, from navigating intimacy and money squabbles to juggling careers, kids, and in-laws. With their engaging blend of personal stories and expert insights, they tackle questions many couples are afraid to ask (yes, even that one) with refreshing honesty. One minute you’ll be wiping away tears of laughter, and the next you might be nodding along in understanding at a truly raw and honest confession.

Whether you’re newly wed, happily ever after, or wondering what you signed up for, Married A.F. offers you a front-row seat to the kind of unfiltered conversations usually reserved for close friends. Matt and Monica share hard-earned lessons to unpack topics like keeping the romance alive, communicating through conflict, and growing together (instead of apart). The tone is always supportive and real. You’ll feel like you’re sitting around the kitchen table with friends who tell it like it is and genuinely want to see your marriage thrive.

Clear-eyed about the challenges but celebratory of the joys, Married A.F. is the ultimate marriage companion podcast that will leave you feeling entertained, understood, and inspired to make your relationship stronger than ever. If you believe marriage can be messy and magnificent, this is the podcast for you.

Tune in, and join a community of listeners who know that staying married is an adventure – one that’s easier (and a lot more fun) when you have a great conversation partner along for the ride.

  • From Buff Bagwell to Marcus Bagwell: A Wrestling Star’s Road To Real Recovery
    2026/09/15

Fame can make you look untouchable while you’re falling apart on the inside. That’s why this conversation with Marcus “Buff Bagwell” Bagwell hits so hard. We start with a wild full-circle moment, Monica randomly spotting him at a card show in our hometown, then we peel back the wrestling persona to meet Marcus the man, the husband, the dad, and the believer who’s had to rebuild his life the hard way.

Marcus shares what it really means to be lukewarm and how easy it is to thank God for success while still living for yourself. We talk about “the story you tell yourself” and how that private script can keep you stuck in addiction, denial, and shame for years. He explains why surrender wasn’t about looking strong anymore, it was about admitting the truth, doing the work, and chasing a relationship with Jesus that produces something he never had at the height of his career: peace.

We also go deep on the moments that changed his trajectory, from a terrifying neck injury in 1998 to the wreck that became his rock bottom after years of pills, alcohol, and consequences he could keep “fixing” until he couldn’t. If you love someone in recovery or you’re trying to figure out how to help without enabling, Marcus offers a simple, logical way to think about real happiness and why sobriety beats the cycle every time. And we get into the role of a real friend like Diamond Dallas Page, the kind of person who tells the truth even if it costs him the relationship.

If you want a raw testimony about addiction recovery, Christian faith, identity, and what strength actually looks like when the spotlight is gone, press play. Subscribe, share this with someone who needs hope, and leave a review so more people can find these stories.

  • Death of The Pastor's Wife
    2026/09/01

A headline grabbing Netflix documentary has everyone debating details, but we can’t shake the part that’s easiest to miss: how a marriage can become a cage when spiritual authority is used as leverage. We talk about the relationship dynamics on display, the grooming-like power imbalance, and the way a “pastor” label can be used to demand obedience, sex, silence, and loyalty while calling it God’s will. That’s not faith, that’s spiritual abuse.

We break down what it looks like when Scripture gets twisted into a weapon, especially around teachings like Ephesians 5 and the word “helper.” We also talk church leadership accountability, because the absence of oversight and consequences is often the oxygen that keeps pastoral misconduct alive. When a church protects the platform over the person, victims get blamed, truth gets labeled “gossip,” and real harm gets spiritualized into “just pray harder.”

As the story escalates, we discuss coercive control patterns that show up far beyond this one case: intimidation, surveillance, threats, forced mental health narratives, and public humiliation. We also get brutally clear on the questions people avoid: Does submission mean enduring abuse? No. Does forgiveness require restored access? No. Does repentance automatically restore leadership? No.

  • Do Parents Need to Love Each Other?
    2026/08/25

Would you intentionally have a baby with someone you’re not in love with, never date, and never plan to marry? Platonic co-parenting is exploding through new co-parenting apps and platforms, and we can’t stop thinking about what it means for kids, for family, and for the future of relationships.

We break down an article about this parenting-only partnership model, including a couple who met on an app, chose IVF, and now raise their children while living in separate homes on the same property. On paper, it sounds organized: interview each other for parenthood, align on discipline, schools, screen time, church, grandparents, and lifestyle expectations, then commit to raising a child together. But we dig into the deeper questions the checklist can’t answer, like whether children need to see affection, sacrifice, and real commitment between their parents, not just cooperation.

We also talk through the practical problems nobody wants to say out loud: what happens when one co-parent meets the person they actually want to marry? How does a new spouse fit into an existing co-parent contract tied to time, money, and major decisions? We look at where this trend is most popular, why big-city dating culture and fear of compromise may be pushing it, and why we believe God’s design for marriage creates the safest long-term foundation for kids.

If you’ve tried platonic co-parenting, know someone who has, or you disagree with us, we genuinely want to hear your side. Subscribe, share this with a friend, and leave a review so more people can join the conversation.
