⚔️ Marked by the Heron

The Black Tower Podcast is diving into the iconic weapons of The Wheel of Time, starting with one of the most recognizable blades in the series: Tam and Rand al’Thor’s heron-marked sword.

But this is no ordinary blademaster’s weapon. The blade is also Power-wrought, tying it to a much older history than Rand realizes when he first straps it to his waist.

We’re digging into the sword’s history, Tam’s past, what the heron mark means, Power-wrought weapons, Rand’s training with Lan, his duel with Turak, the prophetic marks burned into his palms, and the blade’s ultimate fate.

How did Tam get such an extraordinary weapon? When did Rand truly earn the heron? And what makes this sword one of the most iconic weapons in The Wheel of Time?
