Pizza Is Literally Good For Your Mental Well-Being
    • A delicious way to de-stress has been discovered by researchers in England.
    • According to a new study from the University of East Anglia, the smell of freshly baked pizza can “significantly” reduce stress and boost mood.
    • It finds that 42% of participants reported the aroma made them feel comforted, and 28% felt a distinct mood boost.⠀

    Most Unhinged Senior Pranks
    • “We released 5 greased pigs in the school. And they were labeled 1,2,3,4,6, so all the administrators were looking for #5 the whole day.”
    • “Seniors took a cow up to the second floor of the school. Cows can walk up stairs but can’t walk back down.”
    • “All 325 grads had one marble. The principal was confused when the 1st kid shook his hand & gave it to him. Then he looked at us ALL in terror when the 2nd kid did, realizing what was about to happen.”
    • “1,500 pounds of cow manure on the front main steps.”
    • “The seniors my freshman year put icy hot on ALL of the toilet seats.”
    • “Long ago, my sister's class made up an entire student. He was in all sorts of activities and listed as not pictured in the yearbook.”
    • “They hung raw hot dogs by strings from the ceiling, every hallway. They were everywhere. The whole school stunk. People were jumping up and smacking them. They were flying off and hitting people. It was … original.”
    • “My class released thousands of crickets into the halls, they heard chirps for a couple years.”
    • “We started rumors about God-awful pranks that the staff would dread happening and kept moving the date and making them look over their shoulders and then just never did anything. Purely psychological.”
    • “The seniors took forks from the cafeteria (throughout the year) and gave them back at graduation as they crossed the stage.”
    • “We hired a mariachi band to follow around the principal all day.”

  • What Americans Think Constitutes A Perfect Vacation
    2025/05/22
    Americans and their "perfect" vacations:
    • A new survey finds that six in 10 Americans believe their “perfect” vacation exists here in the U.S. and it reveals what it takes to create it.
    • The trip would last 11 days, be at least three hours away from home, and prioritize food, relaxation and good weather.
    • For nearly two-thirds (63%), that perfect getaway is at the beach, while 53% prefer the great outdoors, and 43% would spend it in a major city.

The moment I knew they were the one:
    • "When he blurted out that he loved me so much (for the very first time) during a quick lunch date because we had just found out we both hated eggnog.
    • "She drove on our first date. I was looking through her CD collection and found Tenacious D. I just put it in the CD player and we did car karaoke through the whole album."
    • "After dating and living together for three years, I tried to think about my future, and I could not for the life of me picture a future without her in it. So I knew, and over 25 years later, the best part of our day is getting to see each other."
    • "We were long-distance. When we met for the first time after eight months of talking. They knew I was allergic to flowers, so they got me broccoli (my favorite vegetable) stalks wrapped in ribbon.
    • "We left his house to go out somewhere, and he told his dog in a totally normal voice, 'We're going out now, we will be back soon.' There was not an ounce of embarrassment about talking to his dog like he was people in front of his new girlfriend. I knew there and then he was a keeper."

  • Air BnB Is Cracking Down On Memorial Day Destructive Parties
    2025/05/21
Air BnB Is cracking down on Memorial day destructive parties:
This week, the company started rolling out their “proprietary anti-party technology” for listings nationwide. It’s the fourth year that Airbnb has used this high-tech defense system to block certain bookings during summer holidays, including Memorial Day and the Fourth of July. The goal is to “reduce the risk of disruptive parties,” which are banned on the platform, and “to promote responsible and safe stays.” The technology identifies and flags “certain (booking) attempts” based on factors like the type of listing being booked, length of stay, distance to the listing from the guest’s primary location and whether the reservation was made at the last minute. Trying to book a one-to-two night stay in an entire home could be considered higher risk for a disruptive party.
Anyone who’s “blocked” from booking an entire home will have the option to book “alternative accommodations” on Airbnb. Last year, the anti-party defenses stopped around 51-thousand people in the U.S. from booking a home on the platform for both summer holiday weekends.

  • How To Tell If You Are With A Noble Man
    2025/05/20
How To Save On Summer Travel:
    • Be a points hacker - It’s a great time to use all those points and miles you’ve built up.
    • Don’t pay full price on travel gear - Before you buy new things like portable cribs, compact strollers or travel-friendly car seats, consider open-box and overstock gear at sites like REBEL. These items were returned, but never used, and come with discounts as much as 50% off retail.
    • Try an off-season destination - Pick a place that’s not all over Instagram in July.
    • Find those free activities - Look for urban green spaces, interactive art parks, summer festivals and fairs at your destination - some cities even create calendars with zero-cost options for families.
    • Think midweek, not peak week - Want to fly on a Friday? So does everybody else, so consider shifting your dates to midweek — especially Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

How To Keep Your Brain In Tip Top Shape:
    • Exercise - research shows that the number one thing you can do for the brain is to be active regularly.
    • Eat more whole foods and fewer processed foods
    • Minimize drinking and don’t smoke
    • Manage your stress - Stress may not be a direct risk factor for dementia, but chronic stress is tough on the brain’s memory system.
    • Challenge your brain - Keeping your brain sharp by playing games, learning a new language or instrument, and doing social activities.
    • Get seven to nine hours of sleep - Not getting enough sleep is bad for the brain and can even raise the risk of Alzheimer’s.
    • Spend time with friends and family - Staying socially active is incredibly important, as research shows that social isolation is linked to as much as a 50% higher risk of dementia.

    Signs Your Man Is Noble:
    • He opens doors for you
    • He calls you instead of texting
    • He walks on the street side of the sidewalk
    • He walks you to your door
    • He sends good morning texts
    • He understands the etiquette of leadership
    • He puts his hand on the small of your back when introducing you to someone
    • He takes the time to plan a date

My Dog Hate My Boyfriend: Taylor on Reddit writes: My dog Molly is super friendly with everyone… except my boyfriend. Every time he comes over, she growls, hides, or stares him down like a furry little bodyguard. At first, we laughed it off, but now it’s got me thinking. My boyfriend says it’s just a phase, but part of me wonders if my dog’s picking up on something I’m not seeing. Should I trust my instincts? Or Molly’s?

Virtual Birthday and still wants gifts:
    • A mom in a parenting advice forum was very confused when her child got an invitation to an online birthday party, except there’s no actual party.
    • The invitation explained that gifts can be sent to the birthday child’s address and even included a list of suggestions and said “or you can Venmo her money.”
    • So, basically, this mom is skipping the party for her kid, but still wants everyone to send presents, and the commenters call it out as rude and tacky.

    • People who go at it with their teeth and bite their ice cream are more “fearless,” “confident” and “impulsive.” She explains, “Biters are very in-the-moment, they are probably extroverts and like instant gratification.”
    • Those who lick their ice cream tend to be “methodical” and “relaxed,” as they patiently enjoy their scoop. “Lickers prefer delayed gratification,” Hemmings says. “They crave the dopamine hit, the brain’s reward, that they get from extending the eating process.”
