  • An Interview with Sam Firstenberg

    On this VERY SPECIAL video episode or you could listen to the audio if you are not on Spotify. Phillip had the honor of interviewing Sam Firstenberg and it was a fun and informative conversation. He has directed such movies as Revenge of the Ninja, Ninja III: The Domination, Breakin' 2: Electric Boogaloo, American Ninja, American Ninja 2, and Avenging Force. Most importantly, and one of the reasons he is on, is to promote the release next year of the new to blu-ray Riverbend (1989) that he also directed.     He tells a great story about how him and Michael Dudikoff saved a girl from drowning, and a bunch of behind the scenes stories and how he got into the business.

TV episode called Confession of a Madman, The Centerfold Girls, Phantom of the Paradise, Planet of the Apes TV episode called The Liberator, The Pom Pom Girls, Tintorera: The Killer Shark, Towing, Guyana: Cult of the Damned, Inseminoid, Partners, Chained Heat, The Man Who Loved Women, and Me Myself and I. Film Masters did a great restoration on this movie that they released last year. The same transfer is available on Tubi. It's a fun watch. Not much is known about this movie, and Phillip does his best to give the general information about this movie and it's back ground with some facts thrown in. There are no Listener' Opinions this week, because not many people have seen this movie. Phillip talks about some of the key points of the movie and the fun stuff throughout.
