295. Discipleship and Dyslexia

This week’s episode Cris explores the relationship between discipleship and dyslexia, reflecting on his own experience and asking how churches can better support people who think, learn and process information differently. What happens when our approaches to teaching the Bible, running courses and helping people grow in faith rely heavily on reading and writing? Cris explores what we know about dyslexia, considers how it shapes the way people engage with Scripture and discipleship, and offers practical ways churches can create more accessible environments where everyone has the opportunity to grow as a follower of Jesus. Because making disciples means recognising that we do not all learn in the same way, and ensuring our churches make space for different ways of discovering, understanding and living out our faith.

Drawing on Caleb’s work in cultural apologetics and creative evangelism, the conversation explores how imagination can become a powerful tool for discipleship, enabling us to engage with the stories of our culture while discovering how they connect with the greater story of God.
