The Reveal continues tonight...
Opening with Tom Petty and “I Saw an Angel,” a beautiful song to start the journey, followed by the Red Clay Strays with a song carrying a message worth hearing.
Then we reach back into the vault for a couple of wonderful songs from Buffalo Springfield.
Adam Duritz and Counting Crows, followed by Ian Anderson and Jethro Tull, before we spend a little time with the lads from Liverpool — The Beatles.
Then we're going back to an earlier Fleetwood Mac, with a couple of songs from Bare Trees — before Stevie Nicks, before the Fleetwood Mac most people remember.
From there, Maria Muldaur, followed by a beautiful performance from Susan Tedeschi.
Then Justin Hayward and the Moody Blues with the magnificent “Never Comes the Day,” before we settle in for a long set from the Grateful Dead.
A little Little Feat, John Popper and Blues Traveler, and then we turn up the intensity with some incredibly powerful music from Terry Kath and Chicago.
And we're opening another door from the vault tonight...
A set from one of the most powerful Midwest bands of the '70s — The Fabulous Flippers.
Then Harry Connick Jr. takes us down to New Orleans with “City Beneath the Sea.”
And when it's finally time to bring tonight's journey home, we'll close with Don Henley, Dan Fogelberg, and Greg Lake.
Tonight isn't about making these recordings louder.
It's about listening deeper.
The Reveal.
The music is still here.
We just need to find it again.
But tonight, don't just listen to the songs.
Listen for the bass player hiding underneath the melody.
Listen for the second guitar.
Follow one harmony voice through the others.
Listen for the fingers on the strings, the piano behind the singer, and even the sound of the room.
The music hasn't changed.
Your window into it has.
Tonight on the Magic Mushroom Hour...
THE REVEAL.
Don't change the music. Reveal the music.
Different decades.
Different sounds.
But listen closely...
There is a thread running through all of it.
One generation hears what the generation before it created...
takes it apart...
turns it sideways...
turns it louder...
and creates something new.
That's how music moves forward.
And that's why we keep going back.
🔐 THE MAGIC MUSHROOM MUSIC VAULTDeep cuts. Forgotten treasures. Timeless sounds.
Turn it up.
Put on the headphones.
Listen to the bass.
Listen to the guitar moving across the room.
Listen to the space between the notes.
Because this music was never meant to be wallpaper.
It was meant to be heard.
🌌 I am Omega... a traveler of frequencies.
The vault is open. We follow the signal... and let the music lead the way.
