He employs his background in materials science and engineering to overthink fictional physics and to make science more accessible to the public. Ryan was born and raised near Toronto. He has lived and worked in Tokyo and Vancouver, but currently calls Ontario home.

In my book review, I stated Stealing from Wizards: Arson is a YA Fantasy by R.A. Consell. Although I am not the intended audience - neither a young adult or a fantasy reader - I really enjoyed the book. And this is book #4, and even without reading the first three, I quickly understood the setting and characters. So, to the author - well done!

The novel is filled with friends, outcasts, magical characters, and villians, as well as all the plot twists and turns that kept me reading. For me, it had a Harry Potter kind of feel set in a school for wizards with 'bad guys' seeking power. But Stealing from Wizards also has a flavor all its own.

If you enjoy a clean fantasy read with found family and fire breathing dragons, then this is the read for you!
