Madison Leslie runs for Anchor Bay and recently led her team at the MAC Red Championships as the top TAR runner and fastest Blue Water Area girl in the race, taking 18th in her personal best of 20:37. With a freshman best of 23:07 and fighting an injury her sophomore year, Maddie continued to improve as a junior and has consistently dropped time with hard work and perseverance. Hoping for a time breakthrough at last weekend’s Portage Invitational, she ran with a loose shoe, which eventually came off, and still managed to finish in 22 minutes.
