    2026/07/12

The Sixth Commandment, "Do not kill," is far more than a command against murder; it is God's call to value, protect, and cherish every human life because every person bears His image. Today, we will discover that the real issue isn't merely what our hands have done, but what our hearts value. Jesus reveals that anger, hatred, indifference, and even failing to love our neighbor and those without a voice can reflect a spirit that diminishes the worth of those God treasures. In our text today, we will see that right after the flood, the command that God gives is to not shed human blood. This text points back to creation, God's value for life, and forward to the cross. The cross forever declares the value of every human life, because God was willing to give His own Son to rescue us. Today, we will discover how the gospel not only forgives our failure to love life as God does but also transforms us into people who protect and honor life.

  • Divine Connections | Trent Thomas | Replacing the Creator with the Created
    2026/06/21

In Exodus 32, Israel exchanged the life and presence of God for a golden calf, revealing how quickly our hearts can turn to idols. The destruction of the calf showed its worthlessness, while the people were forced to face the consequences of their misplaced worship. This lesson will challenge us to identify and cut out idols in our own lives, recognizing that true life is found in God alone.

    2026/06/07

After 400 years of slavery in Egypt, God hears the pleas of His people and sends a reluctant leader named Moses to bring His people back into covenant relationship. His power is seen in the form of 10 miraculous plagues against the Egyptians and capped off with an unimaginable crossing of the Red Sea. After three months of preparing the Israelites to meet their Deliverer, Moses is directed by God to share with them the joy and blessing of relationship with Him and the things that distance us from Him.

  • Lamentations | Brandon Pressnell | The Painful, Sovereign Hand of Mercy
    2026/05/24

Jeremiah’s words, rhythmic in all other chapters, breaks into a dark weariness, mixed with glimpses of fatigued praise. His question is piercing, “Why do you forget us forever?” If we are not careful, rather than looking into our own hearts to uncover our sins, we find ourselves calling out God for His absence. But FULL repentance is what brings about God’s FULL restoration. It is important to be reminded that in the waiting, God, in His sovereignty, is not absent or inactive.
